This, and I think this only happens if we’re in the prem, can’t see any possibility of him playing championship football next season.

If we are relegated, no chance.

If we stay up, a slim possibility.

He’ll go. But the good news is it’s looking increasingly unlikely he’ll go back to City with the likely transfer embargo heading their way.

I think he will go.

However, at championship level has hasn't exactly had a 20/30 goal wonder season.
He could do that next season and then go back up with us.

Nope, nor should he.

We have to get used to good players moving on for good fees. Its the only we we evolve into a club with serious intensions of getting up and staying up.

Possibly only Delap. What have either Hutchinson or Davis done this season. Davis as we know is good at going forward but not that great at defending. Teams set up to stop him getting into those positions and when he has the opposition play balls into the space he's left. Hutchinson has had one or two decent games and whether it's where we have tried to play him that has led to a distinct loss of form from the heights of last year. But then all the players, or most are trying to ply their trade against seasoned Premier league players many of whom have played for top foreign sides and played Champions League football. As many have alluded to we need to get a few of these young athletic players from abroad. Not a Finidi George or Mateo Sereni though.

None of our players are really seasoned premier league assets. Delap's the only one who's really done well and might go, but I back us to have an all star championship side and come back up

Why not? He is young with plenty of time on his side,we have given him a chance to impress,he just might think to repay the faith shown in him ,and maybe he would like to try to get us back up again!

I can't see Hutchison and Davis have done enough to attract interest at a price we'd sell at.
Hutchison is on 4 goals(?) and Davis just 2 assists but perhaps more mistakes leading to goals for the opposition

It might be a good time for Leif to move on, assuming anyone wants him but you could see him and Phillips moving back to Leeds, that wouldn't be very surprising imho

I hope Phillips does go back to Leeds in the summer.

One feels that his career will just wither and die, and Leeds might be the last best chance for him to save it.

Depends if Km stays, they all seem to respect him has a coach and mentor and want to play for him so does it matter in what league.

If Delap played in the championshp next season with us (TBC) and got 30+ goals, plays 50 games it will not his confidence any harm for another crack at the PL.

He is only 22 last month, plenty of time for a big money move to whoever.

Don’t think Davis or Hutch are Prem class, so imagine they’ll stay.

Expected big things from them this season and not sure either has delivered.

The flip side of this is he plays in the championship, gets 10 goals and then a long term injury, that could be his hopes of playing champions league football gone for a long time / forever. He’ll go and we won’t stand in his way

If we stay up, I think he will stay.
Regardless of whether we stay up or go
down I think Hutchinson and Davis will be here next season.
As much as we all had high hopes for Davis, his defending is currently
not up to Prem standard ….

Leeds, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Co are the types of clubs that may take a punt on our better players.

This is how ITFC of the past existed, even in Sir Bobs days. When we stopped this is when we starting to sink. A top player is sold, a gem is bought in or brought through from the youth team/reserves. We sold because we had good levels of confidence in that understudy. We are so much stronger than our last Championship squad even with three likely departures and we will buy the best of the potential in the close season - especially if we will have access to Brightons software again
