I made the mistake of reading the comments. Good crikey, we have some arseholes on our socials don’t we?
In a weird coincidence we parked and went through the most densely populated Sikhi part of the UK. I’m not sure if that explained families out and about or not. I doubt any were converted to Town fans by the few dozen of us headed that way.
However, it was brilliant to hear the scum booing the knee rather than just ignoring it, drowned out by the thousands of us chanting. A mate said someone near him was ranting about it being “a Christian country” when a Chelsea player performed an Islamic prayer at full time - bet they sang the Morsy song we belted out during the game though.

There’s one fella who seemed to get upset about the lack of an Easter message from the club despite it being next week.
There was one the other week as well, might’ve been the Eid post, a bloke said why don’t you say ‘Merry Christmas and Happy Easter’ last years ones were duly posted and pointed out to him and he said ‘oh must’ve missed them’. Clearly.

And the ones who think they've got the absolute killer point when they say "you'd never catch anyone mentioning Christmas in a Muslim country..."
I rather suspect David Burch doesn't go to church, as is the case with the vast majority of Mail commenters who make this point.
"David Burch Been a town supporter for over 55 years but now it is a flocking joke we are a Christian country and always will be obviously this club has forget but it's Palm Sunday HAPPY PALM SUNDAY TO ALL THE CHRISTIAN who follow ITFC I would guess there's more of us then the others"
As it is, there are 456 Sikhs in Ipswich, according to the 2021 Census, so why shouldn't the club reach out to them?

It's a real shame to see closed-mindedness like this in a town that (in my lifetime at least) has always been as multicultural as Ipswich.
I went to school at St Helen's in the 1990s, and it was a real cultural melting pot even back then. We marked and learned about all manner of cultural and religious festivals and events, and I feel incredibly privileged to have had such a culturally-varied early education.

Damn. I completely forgot to wish everyone a happy Palm Sunday yesterday... I can't keep up with all the things we're supposed to do now we're all wokey.
Am I doing it right?
It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

The 1961 census showed roughly 1,000 people from the Caribbean in Ipswich, and in my primary school (Clifford Road) in the late 1960s there were three black children, roughly 10%.
I might add that my support for Ipswich goes back at least as far as David Burch, and I look on diversity as a good thing.

Compare and contrast with the absolute culture shock of moving up to rural Norfolk at the age of 10, and discovering the complete lack of multi-culturalism.
I didn't encounter another BAME student in my education until the time of my GCSEs and, as far as a good number of the rest of the students were concerned, the young lady may as well have had three heads, and wheels instead of legs.

Well done and you’re not alone on there. There’s been a bit of an uptick in replies since yesterday. I see a few TWTDers I recognise past and present.
