Booing Saka on 15:02 - Apr 20 with 1427 views | Bluecasp | Its called trying to create an atmosphere and putting him off. Crikey, what should they do applaud him. And to be fair it has put him off. He missed three easy chances. People annoyed that he leapt like a salmon and then it as fit as a fiddle minutes later,

Booing Saka on 14:59 - Apr 20 by noggin | Reactionary is fine, booing someone who has done nothing wrong, is poor. |
He turned up in an Arsenal shirt. Thank fook all our fans aren't as powderpuff as you. Nothing that might contribute to a key opposition player having a weak game is "poor" or "embarrassing" ever. He's missed 2 sitters since we started giving him stick. I guarantee you the scoreline would be 0-4 otherwise.

Armchair fans have seen what actually happened unlike the North Stand meatheads.

Booing Saka on 15:01 - Apr 20 by tonybied | Na, it's not embarrassing. There's no way that's given as a red without Saka's reaction, it was way over the top. Absolutely nothing wrong with the crowd showing passion either. We need more of this at Portman road, if honest. Better that than except our fate and sit in silence. It also seems to be having an effect on Saka too, so it gets a thumbs up from me! |
I've seen it with my own eyes and its red regardless of any player reaction. There are players rolling around for the slightest touch, let's worry about those first before starting on those who've just had their achilles crunched.

We seem to be breeding a nation of milk monitors and primary school teacher Karen's who tut about anything. Stop putting yourself on pedestals and worrying about how bad it all looks from someone else's point of view.

I've missed 4 games home and away this season. It's a horrible challenge. It's not a fiery atmosphere. It's a training game. [Post edited 20 Apr 15:12]

Exactly, it feels like some people are letting their frustration with others boil over to someone who doesn't deserve it.

It's a yellow all day long, you see countless challenges like that each and every weekend without similar punishment. I can bet you'll struggle to find many examples of similar conclusions to the same kind fouls in any games this season. I'm not blaming the ref/VAR for our poor performance, I don't think it's been anything but pretty crap to be honest but it's unhelpful by any of our own to see that decision as anything other than rather harsh.

As I've said. The local journos, the national journos, the neutral fans and even Spurs fans all think it was a red. The only ones who do not think it is, is some Town fans. Why do you think this is? Could everyone hate us and love Arsenal or could you be wrong?

Jesus Christ, are we town fans or just general football fans. It was a rake down the Achilles not a wild 2 footed flying challenge. You see these types of tackle escape without a red every week. Are we not allowed to try and stick up for our team and villainize the opposition? I do wonder if we're all town supporters on here sometimes. Some seem more intent on criticism rather than support.

I'll take that as an admission that you agree you only think it was a yellow because it was a Town player, which is pretty much what I've been saying all along.

People can’t think for themselves , just because Sky said it’s a red everyone follows.

No, I think it was a yellow as you see that challenge given as a yellow each and every weekend games up and down the country. I have said that in pretty much every reply on this thread. How is that any admission?

It was a horrible, thoughtless, nasty, unnecessary tackle. Deserved a red

I don't know, I'm not wasting my time reading that, I'm commenting on what I see in front of my eyes and sharing that with our teams fans I rather surprised that you have time to read all of that and sit on here offering up your insightful criticism to be honest. Alternatively, you could stop being so negative and actually support our team.

Fiery atmosphere? There was a pantomime villain for half an hour. It’s dead, which is hardly surprising considering it’s been a stroll since the opening minute

I do support the team by attending close on 500 games over the past number of years. Missing a home game for once because of family stuff this Easter has been a real eye opener to see how deluded the armchair fans are.

Sadly most of the season at Portman Road it's been a stroll for the opponents.
