McKenna and Ashton want to keep as much of squad together as possible, knows that continuity within the core is important and have said so.
Sure, we'll see changes, but clearly wants to keep Burgess and Tuanzebe, so we'll see plenty of the current squad in the team photo i'm sure.
Obvious that Cajuste, Phillips and Luongo need replacing, so there are some very key people going to come in, but much of that will depend on who we can and can't keep (or don't want to). |  | | |

It's not really a good idea to include loans, these aren't players we're getting rid of, they were never ours. And it's not impossible we keep Cajuste if he wants to stay. I have no idea why you think we're going to go for a complete overhaul, all the noises from the club are that we might lose a few but we'll look to keep the core of the squad together and strengthen by reinvesting in the squad. |  |

I can see Tuanzebe moving on too potentially. Up front we need a quality striker to replace Delap. In goal, we may stick with Walton. Muric and Palmer probably will go but no great loss in either case. So I make that at least...

Of course it's *potentially* 8 new first teamers coming in. If we sell our entire first team, that's *potentially* 11 new first team players right there.
Obviously we need a new centre mid pairing at minimum and a new striker. That's all we know at the moment, or can be sure of. Though still a small chance Cajuste stays and we need only one first team centre mid plus the striker. Others might leave, more than likely will leave. But we're potentially only looking at 2 first teamers for definite, so talk of massive change are premature.
Having said all of that I think there will be a positive bit of change to the squad. But I'm not so sure it will be a wrecking ball, or even a major overhaul. I'd say four new first teamers and four new squad players. Refresh. |  | | |

Lots of negativity....
We all know that loan players are just that.
The sensible ones will also know that Delap was only ever going to be a season long venture - even if we had stayed up.
It was also noted that Burgess was probably not the most happiest of players sharing game time with Greaves and so the lure of more playing time would entice him (with Rangers mentioned more than once).
For me, I do not see the rest being sold off as money is not an issue and to be honest, none of them really excelled last year to the point that a club would be willing to gamble the kind of fee we would be asking (thinking Hutch and Szmod etc)
I would love the club to be ambitious in an approach for Cajuste and sell him the starting role with a view to the captaincy but they may be having the same conversation with OShea who seems to be the obvious successor to our Egyptian King. |  |

Excluding loans I think we'll see about 8 leave. Probably 3 or 4 in the more regrettable category like Delap, maybe 1 or both of Burgess & Tuanzebe, and another big ticket or 2.
Plus 4 or 5 less regrettable like Harness, Muric and / or Walton, Luongo, Al-Hamadi which is inevitable as we look to raise the floor and keep upgrading the weakest links. |  | | |
