Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:37 - Jun 26 with 2817 views | portmanking | That will have come out of nowhere. I heard the Middle East was calling him. Ah well, we can't really compete with the PL. Plus it allows him to return to Manchester where his family are still settled.
Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:37 - Jun 26 with 2793 views | SuffolkPunchFC | Disappointing, but if he can get a PL gig, you can't blame him.

Clock is ticking for Tuanzebe, he's 27 with a dodgy inury history, take the money while he can. Don't be sad he's leaving, just be glad we had those 2 years.

I think geography will have played a major part in his decision. His family are still based in the north-west, so I think signing a new 2-3 year deal in Suffolk was always going to be a last resort.
Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:41 - Jun 26 with 2655 views | Westover | They might be in the premier but for how long, IMO he would have been better off staying at Town playing more games in front of a bigger home crowds. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:43 - Jun 26 with 2579 views | heavyweight | This is disappointing. Know its a short career and he had to do what's best for himself and family etc etc ...but I thought he might have repaid the faith KMK & the club had in him by being patient getting him fit in that first season and signed a new contract. Would the deal offered to him by Burnley be significantly better ?

We kind of rescued him from the scrapheap, thought that might sway his decision, but not blaming him, and of course with four days left on his contract, he was never looking like he wanted to stay. I'm still convinced we have a really good player in Harry Clarke if he can shake off his injury issues.

Not really. 27 yrs old - basically his last chance to get a 'really good' deal. His local area. He took a chance on us as well as us on him. Again, we've helped him, got him playing and he contributed massively during his time here. Cannot blame him for moving on, always likely. I think he's a quality player and going to be difficult to replace but doable.

As I've said on other threads about Tuanzebe, he's a quality player *when on the pitch*. He played in 57% of our league games last season. If we can get someone who is 80% of the player now, with potential to improve and is available for 95% of our games, we're up on the deal in my view. [Post edited 26 Jun 16:51]

Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:51 - Jun 26 with 2276 views | Clutch | Took a while for me to appreciate him, but was decent in the end last year. Never seemed to be someone who would be a Town player for long.
Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:54 - Jun 26 with 2200 views | SomethingBlue | Always was a sense – for me anyway – that Axel was passing through and doing what's best for his career. Which is absolutely fine, he's been good for us and at 27 with his record you have to take that move. Hopefully we can find a quality, robust replacement because we'll need one.

Tuanzebe to Burnley on 16:58 - Jun 26 with 2070 views | Perublue | He’s made of glass no pun intended with his hand injury..in and out all the time .. 46 game league season in a bruising league, would probably lose him for the African nations cup too or at least have that hanging over our head on if he’ll go or not. Never totally convinced he’d be here long term. Best for all … Burnley send us Sonne as a present.
