The current EFL clubs who haven’t had a league attendance dip below 20,000 in the last 10 seasons (excluding COVID affected games):

◼️ Derby County
◼️ Leicester City
◼️ Norwich City
◼️ Southampton

👏👏

Just saw this, can't say enough how much I hate them and their "we support our team through thick and thin" attitude

In the McKenna era we haven’t had an attendance below 20,000 (not 10 years though).

Anyone know how many were left in Carrow Road when they were losing to Pompey last season ?

When was the last time budgie brains averaged more than 29K in a season?

Answer, not once in their trivial history ... in fact they have never averaged more than 28K.

We did that in the Championship ... on every level they are inferior and they know it.

OK, this is is possibly even more tinpot than 'Binnerwatch' or 'The Office:Ipswich'.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

What? That's a really good effort from them and you post it as a negative thing. Knowing a lot of Norwich fans they are passionate about their club as we are and I think we are about to experience what they have over the past ten years. Hovering around the premier league and championship, looking to get promoted and then hating it when seeing our team beaten almost every week. They still go to watch their team play every week though. Good effort.

Saying that still can't stand them!

The year is 2044. So since 2022 your club has suffered the below events -

Administration
17 straight years in the Championship with just 3 play off finishes in that time
Marcus Evans
4 years in the third tier
Not beating your rivals for 16 years
Paul Jewell
Roy Keane
Mick McCarthy football
Paul Hirst
Paul Cook

Yet we still pull in 17,000 as an average with many 20,000+ crowds. (Whilst selling out Wycombe away on a Tuesday night sat in 14th in League One). You just simply would never.

Pound for pound our support is up there with the best in the country.

The Budgies seem to have fooled their season ticket holders into being frightened that if they dont renew they wont get it again. So everybody renews. But a look at the stands during a match tells it's own story. Gaps every where.

I live in Norfolk. I know 10-12 season ticket holders at Carrion Road. None of them goes to every match. Most dip in and out (25-75%).

One bloke has been sold the theory so much that he has renewed his two tickets for the last five years and not been at all ! When I asked him why he does not go he said they were so cr@p it made him angry.

One day the bubble will burst and their attendance figures will reflect more accurately their true support.

That is very true, there is a plethora of empty yellow seats at every 'sold out' game they have. It's a(nother) well-known peculiarity of that endlessly abnormal football outpost. Another is the age profile of the season ticket holders, where the average age is well into pensioner territory!

As you say, many of them renew their season tickets out of loyalty to Delia but simply don't turn up to more than a couple of games a season, and when they do they just sit under their blankets whilst waiting for half time to come around so they can go into the 'restaurant' for a nice cup of tea and apple cake. The OinkUn often has a thread angry middle-aged armchair fans berating the OAP contingent. Very odd club.

I know a few too, and they're exactly the same as the ones you mention. Not sure how that club got like that (is it a Delia culture thing?) but it certainly doesn't bode well for their future. Shame.

I worked in Norfolk for a while and it was easy to get tickets free from the company I worked for. Would be interesting to know how many of the 20,000 are paying customers.

Pity it’s not the X factor. All the fans in the world, but still a bang average football team.

It's because they all live on a road close to Carrot Road so they don't have far to walk, it's called Letsbe Avenue.

It's not a good effort if you are charging very high prices for tickets and providing little in return as they are..
Their minimum season ticket is well over £500. I pay £375 for mine in the Cobbold.
Gits the lot of them.
Div 1 is too good for them.
