Broadhead bid 19:25 - Jul 29 with 9492 viewsfloridaboy

Wrexham have offered £7 million for Broadhead according to reports from the Wrexham papers.

Can see it happening especially as his game time seems limited!

Would £7 million be enough to tempt the club to sell?

We're not going to turn down £7 million, but Broadhead will know he will better clubs than Wrexham willing to give him a job

DO NOT SELL BROADY

Will be devastated if this happens. Best technical player at club. Magic feet.

My favourite player on his day, however if true £7m is too good to turn down really

The only Muff in Town.

In that case, I was wrong about you never being right about anything! My bad.

I thought about throwing lockdowns in just to spice things up but we are all friends these days.

£7 million will be there or there abouts but I think a lot will come down to what Broadhead wants. If he wants to stay here and be a bit part player and maybe play in the prem again then he’ll sign an extension. If he wants a move and isn’t going to sign an extension then £7million seems like a decent price for a player who will leave for free at the end of the season

For that money, we'd be silly not to. Realistically, he's not going to play ahead of Philogene.

Not ahead of him but Philogene has missed lots of games with injuries in the last 2 years.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

We’ve also got Jack Clarke in that position.

Think he would have had a contract signed by now if he was wanted unless he’s after big money.

I see Broadhead as more versatile and impactful. Clarke and Philogene are exclusively wide imo.

I know he's not favoured here but with Hirst tremendously unlikely to play more than 60% of games with no obvious replacement, it feels an error.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

In the last year of his contract I'd snap your arm off. He's been brilliant but is fragile and making a profit and growing is what happens.

Love Broady but if that is a genuine bid, I can see us accepting.

Quality player but I'm not sure things are right between him and KM and the Club - not awful or terrible but I sense he's not 100% happy. Just my view and likely a completely wrong take.

Can be a silky operator on his day and obviously good for a few goals at Champ level but there are better players ahead of him, if the club don't take the offer then they're very silly.

Plus it will put a stop to having to read posts about how he was the best player on the pitch after 1 good pass and a promising looking dribble in an otherwise anonymous 70-minute performance.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Or Clarke.

I get the love for him but the fact that KN has recruited 2 (arguably 3 if you include SS) speaks volumes for me.

If Wrexham genuinely offer that, he’s gone imho

I love Broady, I think he makes things happen but given the context:

- Last year of contract
- Realistically a squad player
- It's somewhere he himself might want to go live
- 7m is decent money for a 27 year old in the Champ.

I think we would have to take it.

If Hutch ends up going for 40m and we get 7m for Broady we can get a number 10 in for 20m+ who will be quality in this division.

There are *more expensive* players ahead of him. Both are yet to prove they are more effective than him in this league. Sorry I just didn't like the way some seem to look down Broadhead and some of the L1 heroes these days.

While I would accept $7-8 Million with our squad depth in his position, you are very much underrating him here.

Philogene has been proven in this league, he was arguably the best winger in the division the year we went up when he was playing on the left for Hull.

At that price you'll get exactly 0 GBP in a years time if it's correct that he only has one year left on his contract.

This isn't really true though, both Clarke and Philogene were very effective at this level in the same season, both had better overall stats.

Broady is class, but that doesn't mean you can dismiss the evidence to make a point.

Thought it was fairly clear I was being a bit flippant on purpose, though I appreciate people get a bit touchy when it comes to "Broady".

One year left on his contract, I don't think he's going to improve much more.

£7m we'd snap their hands off.

Both Clarke and Jaden outperformed him in terms of attacking output when they were last all in the Championship together, with both of them playing for weaker teams than us.
