Very good question given United and others will be perfectly aware of the situation. But if you're the agent and a journo you like calls, it doesn't do much harm to feed them your narrative and add to the noise/test the reaction a little. I know this wasn't directed at me but I presume the agent's trying to scare Spurs and United with the idea the other may sign him.
But if Hackney wants guaranteed first team football, he definitely won't get it at Spurs and may not get it at United. | |

I'll be amazed if at least one of Town or Boro, or both, have not put a deadline on Hackney to make a decision for this reason. We need to move on to other targets; Boro need to know their budget to finalise their squad. | |
