First time I've seen this one speculated on 12:19 - Aug 5 with 4116 views | PhilTWTD | It's nonsense, they literally just make things up, then send round to media - me included - to try and get them to use them. It's just promoting their betting brand. As you say, HC looks set to be out for some months.

Well, I suppose they are accurate about the claim being "exclusive" at least....

Kieran: “Harry picked up an injury, so he’s going to be out for quite a while, we’re not exactly sure how long yet. It will be assessed over the next few weeks and we’ll decide the best course of action from there. “It’s in his knee tendon, so it’s a decision around what’s the best course of action. Honestly, that won’t be decided until we’ve seen how the next few weeks pan out and it settles down.” McKenna: Townsend and Philogene Injuries Don't Look Great 2nd Aug 2025 20:34Blues boss Kieran McKenna says the injuries suffered by Conor Townsend and Jaden Philogene don’t look great, while Leif Davis missed out due to a knock and Harry Clarke could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but keeper Aro Muric is making good progress. 54

They’re embarrassingly bad these days, a huge drop off in terms of what they were a few years ago. All they care about is driving clicks to their website, no care for the quality of journalistic output.

Stuart Watson is always good and is in tune with fans and with what’s going on at the club. But the reality is, with TWTD and Twitter etc. the need to pay for ITFC content just isn’t there. The gimmicky nonsense like matchday media scran doesn’t help their cause.

Doesn't help they're being tasked with creating content on a subscription based platform, with no news being able to be posted without the consent of itfc.

Stuart is far too good a journalist to be wasting his time with Archant or whatever they're called these days.

I wouldn’t trust that source. It's nonsense, they literally just make things up, then send round to forums - ours included - to try and get them to use them. It's just promoting their ‘free’ Audi scam. Looks potentially as if an op *might* be needed. Let’s hope not and he responds well.

Indeed, which is very unfortunate, Harry having had two operations at the end of 2023/24 and another at the end of last season, although on his plantarises rather than his knee.

Good that it’s not a recurrence of the plantar issues I suppose. KM sounded really disappointed for him. We’d signed Young before Harry picked up the injury, hadn’t we? Despite that, from KM’s comments in your piece it sounded like he we weren’t planning on shipping Harry out as speculated in that EADT article. KM talks about it being a long season, so sounds like HC was very much in our plans.

Ooofff, strong denial there. Hmmm,…..yep once again, good to see how fast Phil closes down the false rumours when he is not “on the Paris Metro”

Have you heard anything re Philogene yet, Phil? I'm assuming Kieran will be asked at his pre-match presser but wondering if you've heard whether it's as bad as first feared yet?

I wondered if he’d be picked up by the Athletic eventually to be the ITFC correspondent but guess we’d have to stay in the PL a bit longer for a chance of that.

No, nothing. He wasn't in a boot or on crutches afterwards, which was a positive. Seemed to land awkwardly on it, so seemed to be a sprain.

I think he probably would have gone out on loan, but the injury, assuming it's as lengthy an absence as Kieran was suggesting, would seem to scupper that until January.

I think EADT will run with anything these days, they seem a failed unit to me. Don't get me wrong I like their guys. But they do seem to be clutching at the very few straws available these days as everything seems to encase the word"Rumour" these days.
