Looking at his Interview on Sky, he is an angry man. He’s speaking at 100mph and you can see he’s seething underneath.

He's getting a really hard time in terms of interview questions as well.

Maybe he was seething at half time? If he was, it had zero effect so maybe that's why he was still seething.

He did look tense but he was right....its about as tough an opener as you can get and we got a result with a poor performance.

Not surprised. Tonight’s performance shows how light we are across the pitch. The fact a few months ago we were 2 leagues above our opposition and yet they arguably had a better 18 man squad tonight. Yes we have a few out but serious work needs to be done.

This could be a lot of it, he mentioned how we changed how we played when we conceded and that was very notable putting good strings of rapid passes together. But this will always been 1 point gained rather than 2 lost, we didn't deserve it on balance

I thought the interviewer was shocking. KM said he didn't see the incident (doesn't sound right without the Arsene Wenger accent) so stop asking him about it.

I am no lip reader. But there was a very clear " F ME" a few minutes after the goal. Either Clarke or Greaves or both are in for some tough discussions on Monday.

Tbf. They showed him after their goal and he was angry clearly saying "fck me"

Greaves. Palmer. Clarke all had a mare in the space of 5 seconds.

Greaves has really got to step up this season. Esp now we've lost Burgess.

It's like they are trying to leverage responses which will walk the managers into fines and trouble with the fa. It's pretty irresponsible but it gets viral content online and makes money. When you have someone like mckenna though it just makes the interview very flat

Certainly for me, Greaves losing it where he did was criminal. Palmer fired it straight into a Birmingham player but by then the damage was already done.

He did then say he knew something about a fan getting involved though, so he obviously had seen something or at least spoken to someone about it. Not surprised Davidson pushed him on it.

Clearly mentally this group need to be built up and get their confidence up.

But Clarke, Johnson were very poor tonight. Palmer I’m not sold on him, think he looks an average Championship keeper.

Our recruitment is starting to come under a bit of focus from last year, I’m not sold on this team yet and I really don’t think we will get top 2 and that’s not in relation to tonight’s game I’ve thought it all, summer so far.

Lots to do. Southampton to win the league for me.

Can you blame him ? The midfield were absolutely atrocious tonight. Out muscled, bullied, lost numerous aerial battles, slow, ponderous and totally feckless. Luckily Greaves and O'Shea were fantastic, as were the back 4, doing very well to keep it to 1.

Taylor and Ogbene are nowhere near good enough to be in our starting 11 for the level we aspire to play at. Also, given Clarke's size, he needs to contribute, as unless, he is a total passenger. Azor good in patches, but again, physically dominated at times. Huge work for McKenna to do in our midfield. Cajuste is a good start though.

I'm not going to write off Ogbene. He ran the game at Brentford; the big question is if he'll fully recover from his injury. If he does, then he'll be a real asset.

I don't get why we're seeing a shadow of the Clarke who played for Sunderland. Albeit it is only one game at this level.

Let a ball go under he’s feet again 1st half. He took his eye of the ball.

As I’ve said elsewhere not convinced, with the ball, a huge downgrade on Hladky.

The problem it appears is thst it's almost like playing fm where you've brought a championship dream team but as a team it doesn't work.

Clarke can't be clarke
Sammy can't be Sammy
Greaves. Well I don't see a calm ball playing cb and swipes at everything
Complimented with some players who for what ever reason just doesn't work.. Johnson. Not a fullback.
Taylor.. not a top champ midfielder

We've got some excellent players.. but it just doesn't flow

The league 1 side put together had ball players who all could get stuck in but also play and they did simple things like spraying the ball around into space for others.
This dream team set up just doesn't flow and hasn't done since January really.

Alrhough history would suggest he's an above abverage championship keeper - in fact one of the best. It was on that basis we bought him. So lets hope he starts to show than form for us, quickly.

Taylor, Ogbene and Clarke were all woeful. Can't be carrying passengers at any level.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Clarke was given the freedom of playing the salah role at Sunderland. Stay high and wide. We will defend then get the ball to you.

I think the jury is very much out on whether he fits the way we play. I do feel nervous watching Palmer with the ball at his feet. He wasn't particularly tested tonight either.

The important thing to remember about our midfield is that it is two players. They cannot succeed without significant contributions from the full backs, a ball playing centre back (which we dont have) and the forward players. All of whom let them down.
