One of the biggest complaints about VAR has been that people in the stadium have no idea what's going on, hence they're explaining why decisions have been overturned. |
The problem is the fans in the stadium can't see a replay of the incident.
I'm fairly sure everyone in the stadium could see they were checking for a red card, the explanation from the ref is just pointless. Just show the crowd what everyone at home is seeing. |  |

I first experienced it at a women's hockey match at the old Wembley in the 80''s so don't think it's essentially American. TBH I'm amazed it's taken football so long to catch up.
