Nuno? on 04:16 - Sep 9 with 2402 views | muccletonjoe | A proven premier league manager, we would be mad not to. Only question would be if he was interested in coming here.

Nuno? on 06:05 - Sep 9 with 2186 views | NickITFC | IF and that is a big if we did pull the plug on KMC (which I hope we don't). Nuno would be a terrific appointment but he will almost definitely have better offers on the table than us. But back to my original point, lets hope things pick up for us and this isn't something that has to be revisited!
Nuno? on 06:42 - Sep 9 with 2023 views | ITFC_Forever | McKenna is not going anywhere for a very long time, thankfully. Nuno will have offers from the Prem…. And a Nuno and Nunez will simply be too confusing.

Nuno? on 07:36 - Sep 9 with 1766 views | Swansea_Blue | I’d take Karen Gillan as my mistress, but that’d never happen either. He’ll get a top league gig. Their owner is a massive plum. One’s that think they know better about the team are the worst kind. It’d be funny if they crashed and ended up getting relegated.

Would be funny from an Omari perspective too !!
Nuno? on 07:46 - Sep 9 with 1705 views | sotd78 | Why is it that so many football fans don't understand modern club management structures. Nuno has fallen out with his owner. With that fallout possibly the whole structure at Forest gets rebuilt. Or may be not. Same at most clubs. The first team coach is the head of the playing side. He chooses teams and sets coaching styles. But he's just one of many. The club builds a structure and then recruits to that agreed structure. Clearly after last season our re set had been more international recruiting. A clear out of some that weren't good enough. And a need to replace some who were persuaded away despite our best efforts. So whether we admire another coach or not it's really more a case of replacing an existing coach with one who brings the same ethos. Buys into the process. Etc. Given that we've yet to actually play many of our new recruits how long do you or anyone think is a fair process? Four games, five, ten? McKenna is the head coach. A manager if you insist. We're very lucky to have such a talented man. So let's just enjoy the rebuild and hope it leads us back to playing in a league that quite frankly was dull and boring.

No it wouldn’t, seeing as we likely have a % of any profit agreed.

Very unlikely to affect that though, always some crazy club out there ready to spend immoral amounts of money.

Tho I would suggest that McKenna is more of an old-style Manager than most in modern football, having greater and more wide-ranging influence over the club than the average "Head Coach" working under a Director of Football or similar. He is more deeply embedded in dertermining the direction and philosophy of the playing side*. Consequently, the distruption should he depart is greater. It would take a fair bit to see him sacked. Not to mention the difficulty of finding someone who would be able to do the same job in full. For me, Espirito Santo is one of those who perhaps could. But we don't have a vacancy - and I doubt we will have for at least the whole season** - plus he will have offers from higher up the current food chain than Ipswich. * Not to mention expensive and vital infrastructure in the the rebuild of the training ground. ** Ashton and McKenna evidently work well together and have a strong bond. You only have to watch the interviews with the two of them together. Top level football is a ruthless business, but it's going to take some force to break that partnership. [Post edited 9 Sep 9:16]

We just need some teeth up front, and the goals will start coming. I think our front line will look different after the international break.
