Sorry to start a new thread but I'm just going to jump straight in here. I sincerely hope this doesn't come across as a "look at me" topic.
I'm not a regular poster in fact many of you probably wouldn't even realise that I exist but I didn't just want to drift away without a "goodbye" of some description.
A couple of months ago I received a terminal cancer diagnosis, no treatment, palliative care only and I've no idea how long that will go on for, medics won't put a number to it.
Over the last 20 plus years TWTD has been my go-to for everything Town related and not just Town related but whole life related too. "Look at me?" far from it, more of a " look at you lot." I'd like to thank everyone of you for just being here, especially Phil and the lads for providing such an excellent service.you've made me laugh a lot. In short TWTD means the fecking world to me, you support me although of course you wouldn't know that. Sorry if this is a bit of a ramble, think I need the next round of meds.

That's simply rubbish.
I wanted to reply with a sarcastic tone of another "Oh, look at me, I've got terminal cancer post" but appreciate not everyone will get my attempt at a sense of humour, understanding that my go to when faced with cr4p news is humour, often very dark and cynical.
However long you have, make sure it's with the people that count, and I hope that the pain and discomfort is minimized.

To the OP, I'm sure you've had plenty of head tilted sorry to hear that replies, so i'm just going to go with........
Fk the cncer, enjoy every minute of every hour, tell people to fk off if you want to, tell people they are amazing if you want to, have a drink, have two, have 10,
Or simply carry on doing what makes you, you and celebrate what you've brought to people's lives and what you'll continue to give them until it isn't physically possible anymore.

Fck cancer and I hope whatever time you have left is as.good as it can be.
As.someone else just posted you've brought a lot of perspective to some of the more childish squabbles that go on sometimes here. We are all.ordinary people, with ordinary challenges and life has clearly dealt you a sh1tty hand with your news.
Do please post up if you want a rant, support or anything on your bucket list that people may be able to help with (if that is possible)

Agh, Bobby - words are pretty rubbish for something like this. No idea really what to say, but saying nothing doesn't cut it. So I'm just going to say thanks for having the guts to let us know and to wish you peace and happiness for everyday you have left. May you have many more than you think and get to enjoy Town back and doing well in the Prem.

Sorry to read this. We never know when it will be our turn, but it seems like you are facing it head on.
One thing you might want to do is spend an evening with your nearest and dearest playing the music you love to them, and telling them why.
It will open up lots of different conversations, memories and stories, and very, very subtly help them when the time comes to plan your Funeral.
You could spend a bit of time putting together a Spotify etc playlist, or a list of videos on YouTube, to play to them. | | | |

From my experience of cancer, I felt that sometimes it can somehow make you feel more alive. I know that sounds strange but may be of some comfort if it resonates.
