I was watching a different game. 21:49 - Sep 30 with 2169 viewsNutkins_Return

Thought we were excellent as the away team today. Best we have played for a long time until sucker punch goal. Allowed them to sit back.

Dominated the ball. They had a threat on the counter as you would expect but we were by far the better team away against a side who will be up there in the playoffs come the end.

Way more positives than negatives.

Yeah, it was ok. Some really good bits, some bad bits. So so, I’d say.

Think you forgot to hit the red button mate!

Dominating the ball means nothing, Bristol had by far the better chances, we have to rely on a penalty to score.

First half 7/10 2nd half 5/10 at best despite the goal.

Mcateer and J.Clarke and frankly Akpom are serious weak links undermining a decent side

Yeah our best away performance so far. Still frustrating though. But sooner or later we will get used to the industrial tactics against us. If we can kill the soft goals we will be fine.

It looked like most of our games this season.

Lots of the ball didn’t do anything with it and then looked vulnerable with one long ball over the top.

I don't disagree but we keep finding ways to give poor goals away. Always likely to be a bit disjointed with the amount of changes (which is understandable with squad management) but the real concern is the back line.

We look a nervous wreck and Greaves and O'shea fills me with no confidence. Silly things like getting done with route one bus over the top shouldn't happen at this level. I think they are both solid enough players but that partnership just doesnt seem to work.

I thought we were inept from an attacking point of view looked toothless , Azon is not physical enough for the league based on what I saw , clarke is too one dimensional and Nunez offered very little to the game ! A draw away from home at a top 6 side is a positive enough result but the performance was poor IMO

agreed.

It feels like one of those games that if weren't for the sloppy goal that allowed them to sit back we would've comfortably won.

Thought Greaves and Matusiwa were particularly great today

We will always dominate the ball because we have extreme talent. We did nothing with the ball and created nothing.

If you're happy with that, you're either easily pleased or got the wrong end of the stick.

I didn't think we were dreadful by any means, but neither were we particularly good. Bristol were fine with us controlling possession, in the end we had 64% of the ball but very similar shot count and xG.

Can’t say I’m upset with the performance , just a little confused by a few things

If we’d have won we’d all be saying what a perfect away performance it was

It’s more time together in a match scenario , we’ve tried a few changes and we know what we need to work on and who took on

In fairness we could lose 10-0 and you'd be on here telling us all that it wasn't that bad.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Harsh on Jack Clarke. Thought he played ok.

Akpom just couldn't get into the game could he but he's a good player.

Mcateer - I do want to like him and he's a grafter....but £12 million. I would still have kept Ogbene I think and that before the price tag. He didn't let anyone down tonight though. Just didnt offer too much.

Loved us knocking the ball about sharply in the first half. Some really nice moves and patterns of play emerging. Jack Clarke's little touch onto flying Davis would have been a great goal.

We are just lacking the final cutting edge but you can see it's coming.

I thought it was a good performance overall, but not great. Bristol City are an in form team though and we made a lot of changes. Happy with a point at this moment in the season. I know I shouldn't look at twitter, but the doom and gloom from some fans on there is astounding. I just saw someone saying that tonight's performance was like being back in the Lambert days...gotta feel some people have short memories.

Did we create a clear cut chance from open play? I can’t remember one so if we dominated the ball and didn’t that’s not good, still a work in progress though

You can see some really, really good signs of dynamic move building which looks way better than this level. It's so encouraging and shows what the team will be capable of producing for longer periods later this season.

I can understand people getting frustrated with some of the defensive uncertainties tonight (although we've generally been much better than that this season) and the lack of shots, but those basic things, whilst important in points terms, shouldn't be blinding so many people about what we're building, imho.

Exactly we are clueless in breaking down a defence and so frail when teams break against us.

Bit worrying to me that they just looked a lot more dangerous going forward despite all our possession. Something just isn’t quite right, let’s hope KM figures out what. Not sure that amount of changes helped but we need to use the squad. This really is a poor division. We need burns back and firing. And possibly a proper/more effective 10 in Jan. Plus cover for Azor who was excellent, again. Keep the faith 🙌🏻

Really better second half but overall pretty toothless and not particularly cohesive guess we all see differently some decent individual performances but also some pretty poor ones.

I think I can appreciate that it became much more difficult when they could set up and protect their lead.

We are missing that final cutting edge at times but week on week you can see improvement.

This was a tough game and what I like is we were the dominant team even if they carried a threat on the counter.

We weren't perfect but i was looking past the result. Thought it was a good away performance.
