This guy is clearly an idiot and should face everything coming his way. Chants like that aren't acceptable and it's pretty incredible that he and others think it is.
I think it's worth pointing out though that there are idiots on all sides which sadly perpetuates this stuff.
At the march on Saturday there was a counter protest where they were blasting out "We are the champions" out of large speakers at the pro-Palestinan protesters.
Nearly 70,000 deaths and and that's their take.

Universities shouldn't be policing the political activity of their students. It's a sandbox where young people can develop views and identities without real consequences.
Except in cases where it crosses the line into potentially criminal incitement of violence - which this, arguably, does.
Tho the two tweets are also questionable in equating a dislike of Zionism (in its modern context, a chauvinistic political movement) with antisemitism and hatred of all jews.
Excellent post - thank you

My son (a second year university student) has fallen down the Jewish conspiracy theory black hole. I went to visit him at the weekend and he was going on about Blackrock and the jews were behind 9/11 and all sorts of nonsense. I don't know if it's people at university imparting this to him or if he's fallen down some kind of social media rabbit hole.

The shirt the person in the video is wearing is the (checks notes) "¡No pasarán!" Inspired Clapton CFC away shirt, the colour scheme is inspired by the Red, Yellow and Purple flag of Second Spanish Republic.

Clapton CFC "Ultras" are quite active within so called left wing political circles...think St. Pauli but in East London and you won't go far wrong.

That's really concerning! I think you need to do some research into combating radicalisation before it goes further

That needed workshopping?
What are they still protesting about? The UK has recognised Palestine. There is the beginning of what will hopefully be a lasting peace. Israeli forces are withdrawing. Not fully but it's a first step. Aid is set to flow into Gaza. What exactly are they protesting for right now?
The veil has well and truly slipped. It became obvious (as if it wasn't already) when they chose the two year anniversary of the attacks on Israel for their pro Palestine event even though it looks likely the conflict was coming to some sort of end.
Scum.
You really think this is the end? You have a lot to learn lmfao. Start with basic pattern recognition. "Lasting peace" "aid" jeez you lot are lost and have been well and truly suckered in by standard buzzwords. Is that all it takes? Not that gazillion times Israel have broken ceasefires? Not the 85% of Gaza that has been destroyed? Not the 60k + civilians that have been callously murdered? Now they say "peace at last" after wiping everything and everyone out.
Let's see if they will now let independent journalists in - still waiting on that one. If they don't, then ...
You will eventually see, but by then it will be too late to backtrack. You really have some growing up to do.

Interestingly, Newport County have also gone for an away kit with a Spanish civil war theme but for cultural and humanitarian reasons rather than political
He’s going to have to go and work for daddy’s firm I suspect.
Odious and performative, I hope he gets arrested. Absolutely no different to hearing people bang on about Farage here or wanting migrants machine gunned etc. then it being ok cos we are all Ipswich etc

Oxbridge has too many entitled people with too much time on their hands, lacking any worldly-earned cynicism and with no responsibilities. I’m making assumptions and he may not be that sort, but there’s a good chance.
It’s certainly got nothing to do with university campuses being captured, as was mentioned earlier. I’ve spent far too many years in that environment and never saw this supposed hotbed of radicalisation. Campuses are just full of kids trying to find their way in life after setting out into the world on their own for the first time. There are existing laws to deal with hate speech. Nobody needs to panic or think anything else needs to happen. Quite the opposite: we don’t want to see the political censorship currently on display in the US (which is what our right wing media/commentators seem to be pushing for, worryingly).
