To be honest he could go. I think his ship has sailed here. He is having trouble getting this squad to perform. Most have been here a while and still don’t seem to grasp his game plan. Which is just plan A after all. They don’t need to learn a B or C.

Dyche is lined up, I don't think they'd be looking at McKenna, his stock has fallen and a team in danger of relegation won't want to take a chance he would likely interest the more stable project like teams, Brighton, Bmuff etc. It is one of the few benefits of not starting the season on fire!

A Premiership side would definitely be snapping him up then wouldn't they?

It'd be disatrous for both him and Forest. He's a manager who loves expansive play, very much like Postecoglou. And the failings trying to do that with the squad they have are obvious.

Not in their right mind no,but people seem to think he could walk into a stable environment in the Premier league. I just think he is starting to struggle with his ideas here now. Not helped by recruiting players who are decent but don’t fit his system.

Any manager currently in a job would be nuts to go there with their owner. Let alone McKenna who knows that he will be given the time to build here. From the ownership anyway.

Forest want a manager who can win games in the PL - nine straight home defeats since start of the year probably isn’t what they are after. Looking at his performances this year - indifferent to say the least - and haven’t looked like winning away.

Naa. Not Nottingham. I hear Norwich want 'im.
Apparently they have got £7.5m rising to £10m to offer him.
Dont know where they got that money from ? Ha, ha.
They wish.

Yep, the reality of football at any level is that things change quickly, not a chance Forest would gamble on him, far too risky right now, I think he needs to prove himself once more to even be considered for a low end Prem job, harsh given what he's done here but it's about the here and now..

Tippy happy with players who are definitely not comfortable doing it is killing us I'd rather just go long and fight for the second ball,
Hes tactically getting stale same formation like for like worked two years ago not now were boringly predictable,
Go one down first away from home were pretty much done from winning,
Last year couldn't buy a home win this year can't buy an away win, playoffs at best ATM will need a run and a half to change that I don't think we have the guts in the team for that, live in hope,

It's a brand new team. He's literally the current manager of the month. We have lost won game in 7 against top away. GET A GRIP.

Give this man time and he will get more than a tune out of the team. He's top class and he's proven that.

Hated the game yesterday but we are better than this nonsense whenever we lose a game. Give him and the team time.

Some people have incredibly short memories.

We have a manager who alongside the owners and the chairman are building the club back up after years of neglect. The club, town and county are reconnecting and you heading on an upward path. We clearly went up a season or two too early and now you want to bin him off when we sit 12th, with a game in hand that would take us to the playoffs.

Oh and there has been less than a quarter of the season played!

I know everyone wants instant results, but sometimes you have to put time in get the rewards. The squad we have has the potential to be one of the best in the league, we just need to be patient. I always believed that Ipswich were a club that gave the right manager time, and in McKenna we have the right manager. He is engaged all across the club, a bit lik Sir Bob was. Sometimes we got the appointments wrong but I don't believe we should even think about changing managers at this stage, this phase has a lot of legs left to run.

Is it possible to get Bots on a forum,

I think there are some long term posters who's shared some critique in their posts but you can sense the Genuity in them, whereas some look very suspect

Sounds like it will be Dyche, which would be sensible in their circumstances.

I wonder if McKenna has any regrets about not taking the opportunity to move on after the second promotion?

Sorry Mutters, you are totally right. Every single word of your post. Nothing new there. You are a considered poster with interesting views. But you are out of date. Out of step.

On here the Tena team hold the narrative and plenty would willingly drive McKenna to Nottingham right now and Ashton and management straight into the street.

They are not interested in big pictures, long term context, progress or stuff like that. They’re actually not interested in ITFC at all really. It’s results right here, right now and brilliant performances from every player or they’re toast. Sunderland have done brilliantly. Every team that hasn’t are rubbish, but really the finger is pointed at us. Otherwise why mention it?

A 19 year old because a large fee was paid for him should be banging them in from all angles first game. He isn’t so he’s useless. A waste of money. A centre forward who’s been here a while is off form so rubbish. Washed up. I can’t be wasting time getting wound up by that rubbish.

Hopefully the better posters will return or emerge, but for now something that has been informative, helpful and interesting - a proper ITFC community with a shared passion - is gone.

Enough from me.

As was pointed out graphically on the managers board at Porman Road recently we have had 19 full time managers since turning professional in 1936. I havent checked but i doubt theres many clubs can compare with that long standing tradition to give managers a chance ( except if your name is Paul maybe!)
I am very proud of that record and its something i like to make others aware of regularly before then pointing out two of those 19 were knighted because of theie efforts with England. I believe if the club and current manager really want it then he may have an equally illustrious career with us.

Tena team 😂😂😂

You are of course right about not bothering to respond or fall into the trap if trying to justify the club, it's direction, the vision to a certain set of posters. I just get so incredibly frustrated that some fans just don't see the bigger picture..

I don't live locally any more, but I am proud to be from Suffolk and have always banged the drum about the place, the people the community and how we are as a club. I get frustrated when others seem to want to pull away from that ideal. I shouldn't get frustrated by it but I know when we were all in unison the feeling was amazing. It just surprises me how fickle fans are at the moment, we just beat those up north for the first time in ages, we have one of the best squads in the league, and all was right. We have one dodgy games and suddenly the world is sh!te. We didn't play as bad as people are making out, it was a competitive game against Boro, even their fans have come out and complimented us. Yes we had a poor second half, but man it's an away game against a decent side in this league. A loss isn't the end of the world.

As for our newest Norwegian, if anybody thought he was going to suddenly become the next Ronaldo then they really need to reset their expectations. You can see he has something about him, it'll just take time. Omari only really go going in the second half of that promotion season, I can see the same again here.
