It sounds very quiet to me too.
I'm guessing the light show hasn't created the intended atmosphere?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I think it always sounds quieter if it's a 'red button' game; presumably there are fewer pitchside mikes.

It's on SkySports+ so not a red button?

I think it's just quiet.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Lowest league crowd since we were in League one, maybe that's a factor.

Veni Vidi Participatur. Now we can get back to competing.

No, the crowd were very supportive from: the off.

Stoke brought about 1000 and the blocks allocated to away fans last year were empty. Other than that the ground was pretty much full and 27000.

Good to hear. I honestly barely heard the crowd until the last few minutes of the game. TownTV made it sound very quiet in the ground.

Was definitely quiet last night, but that’s just what it’s like on an evening mid week game sadly. People are rushed to get there after work, don’t tend to drink due to transport getting home and being a school night.

It was quiet, but we scored early an£ just took the sting out of the game. It was a very controlled professional performance but not one thats going to live long in the memory. That said, the crowd was very supportive and positive…just a bit quiet.

Maybe just as a result of a good win but KMc mentioned the crowd twice unprompted in his post-match presser - particularly highlighting how they contributed in the final few minutes.

There were a lot of unsold restricted view seats all along the top of the West Stand. At 3pm yesterday only a single section of the ground (a mid-tier West Stand section) was showing as sold out. Not especially unexpected on a school night, close to Christmas with two home matches in 4 days.

No plenty of noise throughout game,
sounds loud on highlights
Stoke poor in numbers and volume

Crowd were in good voice, particularly the North stand area. Kept it up throughout the match.

For the last few games I have sat in the Cobbold stand. Halfway between the away fans and Block A Blue Action.
My opinion of last night is that Blue Action were the loudest I have heard since last season and the away fans were the quietest this season - probably as there were only 1000 of them and they were losing from the second minute!

My ears are clean as a whistle. It was quiet last night, mostly anyway. A few brief outbreaks of something approaching an atmosphere but it wasn't great. That's been the case all season though and is a long standing issue. Things improved the promotion seasons and the first half of last season but in general we're a pretty quiet set of fans at PR. At one point last night when there was a little bit of chanting happening I looked around and I'd say around 10% of fans in my section were joining in, and that's in the lower north.

I thought the crowd were relatively well involved last night, especially in the send half. Despite not getting that second goal, I didn't pick up a ground swell of negativity and thought the crowd were trying to lift the team and help get them over the line. Better than some games recently, from where I was sat.
