Given the claims by Alan Nixon that Chieo isn't in Wilder's plans, what do we reckon Town's stance is?
He looked decent for Eire a couple of months back, and would be a step up on a clearly-deflated McAteer. But, with Burns back and Sindre looking good (notwithstanding the suggestion that he's bound for the 10 role), I can see that MA and KMc might not see him in their plans either.
Could Chieo play for another club this season? Or, if we don't want him, is it more likely to be a case of holding Sheffield to the terms of the original loan? |  |

And the right-hand side is clearly still not working as we need. Not creating enough. Not enough goals. Not attacking with gusto, like we see on the left. Solid defensively though.
If we can get the blend right (pun intended) in the second half of the season then I think we will be unstoppable.

If McAteer could find a good loan it could happen, but it's a risk. Ogbene is injury prone and McAteer is fit most weeks (and not as bad as made out).
Also, I keep seeing that Walle Egeli is 'looking good' but I'm not totally convinced of that yet. A few year's time yes, but if he's first choice for the rest of the season I'll feel a bit uneasy.

If he plays like he did for Ireland against England then he is in. But our system seems to take something out of our stars and they become shadows of their former selves. So most likely no. I don't see him as being ahead of Egeli. McKenna didn't think he was good enough for a place and now Wilder doesn't think he is good enough.
We need to persist with Egeli or move him central, the upside is just so much better over the longer term.

I don’t rate Ogbene the same way I don’t particularly rate any of our right wingers that’s why I’d sign one.
But if Sheffield United aren’t going to use him he doesn’t make our squad any worse and gives the team some much needed pace even if it’s off the bench. |  |

Not so much rated, we liked the look of him when he was purchased but probably a case of our medical team not believing he will be the same player as he was before the injury. |  |

Did something happen behind the scenes as otherwise it completely lacked logic when we had £12m to spare and could have done with another midfielder in Matusiwa's mould, a striker or a covering centre back. The last thing we needed to do was muck around with the right wing.

I imagine that we let Ogbene go because he had limited impact for us last season before his njury. To then suffer a season ending injury, the jury is seriously out on him.
