If McKenna could pick ANY Premier League forward 10:14 - Jan 8 with 2046 viewsFromReuserWithLove

from the last 20 years to play his lone striker role who do you think has the perfect profile? Who is his blueprint?

Has to be Drogba doesn't it?

What would his blueprintXI look like?

Shearer.

The best there's been in the Prem era.

Edit: Although last 20 years might be pushing it as he was at his best 25ish years ago.

I think Haaland might score 150 goals a season at championship level.

I think he'd probably go for Kane, got all the attributes to hold the line, but is technically able to drop back and start play much deeper. Plus he scores by the bucketload.

Kane is the correct answer

Drogba is a good shout and one I was thinking of. Very complete centre forward. I think Kane is another good shout, leads the line well but also happy to drop deep at times.

Drogba was my first thought too. I don't think Kane is far of the mark either.

I'd throw Diego Costa in to the mix too. His stint in the PL was short lived but he had the work rate and would occupy a whole backline by himself - then backed it up with goals as a bonus.

One the most underrated forwards in history. Every player that played with him (especially forwards) absolutely raved about him.

Not an outright striker but I’ll go for Dennis Bergkamp - able to bring in others into the game, worked hard and could take his chances.

Apart from Bergkamp, Wayne Rooney would also be a great fit for a KM team.

when I think of McKenna's ideal 9 I imagine flair, strength, build up play and composure.

Several above have mentioned Drogba and I think that's a good fit - my head, however, went straight to Giroud

I first thought of Drogba too - he had the size, pace and hold up play McKenna would want.
I think Haaland is a better goalscorer but not so good at holding the ball up, Kane and Giroud don't have the pace

Talking about what they did whilst they were in the Prem, or throughout their career?

One I bet that would suit KMc in his absolute prime would be Edinson Cavani. Had everything, pressing, physicality, movement, finishing - would have been tailor-made for a KMc team.

Wrong era, but to add to yours. Ian Wright. Seemed to score at Portman road every time I saw him

Just who has the physical attributes to fulfil that specific role. Henry would be my greatest striker but he wouldn't be the ideal player to play that role.....I might squeeze him into the left side role though.

Cavani a great shout.
