I think that is symptomatic of the modern game.
The defensive side of things get so little respect and appreciation.
It's all about dinks, tricks and free-kicks.
Azor, Morsy, etc are incredible to watch and invaluable to a succesful team. |  |

And on the ball, he’s come on an absolute mile from when he first signed. He drives forward and picks the attacking pass so much more often now than the safe option. |  |

Absolutely, and you couldn't blame him for the penalty either, just got " done" by a piece of skill from a highly promising young player. That can happen to anyone. I said some weeks ago that he must be related to an octopus, as he seems to grow an extra limb and get to balls he shouldn't get to! Another poster above mentioned him being watched by Liverpool. I got some abuse from someone in particular for mentioning that very same thing a few weeks ago. He was and it was before the start of last season. Really impressed with him yesterday. When I saw him earlier in the season, the defensive stuff was good but felt that he didn't take us forward, but now he's taking balls on the half turn like Morsy used to and we transition so much better | |

He had a good game yesterday, although the penalty was the right decision, that challenge on Clarke was a little clumsy. You can see him doing a job in the Premier League, but I wouldn’t say for a top level side. He just gets on with his job with little fuss. | |
