I'm not defending the ref but he's the other side.
From that angle yes he's clearly put his foot in front of Kipre but the the refs angle COULD be totally different.
We've certainly.got away wirh worse ones this season (Furlong against someone, can't remember).
Do you want VAR or not?
EDIT: if you watch the ref, when it happens, the foul probably isn't in his main sight as he watching the ball and the other players.
It's disappointing but what can you do. The refs at this league aren't very good let's face it. I expect nothing less. And we won't all admit it, but it's a difficult job. I wouldn't want to do it. [Post edited 7 Mar 17:51]

Valid, should be scoring more the 1 in open play against Leicester.
That said he’s giving us ONE pen out of 6 very good shouts where at least 3 were. Literally could be 4 points come end of season.

Thinking the ref rarely gives tangles in the box, and never do late on, and perhaps Kipre made a meal, and wasn’t likely to score
But three big factors make me understand the bench frustration:
1) the ref was very close with a good view
2) Kipre was going to be able to connect with the ball
3) the contacts is obvious and deliberate
Also the yellow is definitely for dissent - not for a dive. So if it wasn’t a pen, why isn’t he booking him? |  |

Spot on.
As one of the replies points out, we got one when Furlong fouled the lad the other day.
If you hate VAR (as I increasingly do) it's one to accept the ref missed it. They are human, they make mistakes. Such is life. |  |

Both can be true. A bad first half makes no difference if we were awarded the penalty we should have been. And the penalty not given makes no difference if we have a good first half (and also get the stonewall penalty on Leif btw). |  | | |
