Absolutely.

What we need as a fanbase is to be united. Let's unite behind Kieran McKenna. My god does he deserve it.

If he goes off the back of this sh!tshow I’ll pack it all in.

What a guy, what a manager.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

What Blue Action should do is come out with a huge Kieran Mckenna banner.

That is a proper role model and leader with integrity. Feel for him in all of this.

That would be class.

I always thought there was a fair chance McKenna would be off at the end of this season regardless.

But if (potentially) the last 8 games of McKennas tenure are ruined by this mess created by the club. I will be gutted.

Ashton threatened to “finish” our fans group for displaying ‘unauthorised banners inside HIS stadium’ during a recent meeting.

He was shouting and swearing at us for a good 45 minutes - we had to tell him to calm down and stop talking to us the way he was. Could tell from the (non) reaction of the other club staff present, it wasn’t the first time they’d seen him behave like that.

The whole meeting was wild and if I hadn’t have witnessed it myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.

If this is the end of him, then good riddance. Despite his good professional work, as a man, he’s never been fit to lead our great club.

I wondered if it were possible that they had the club's best interests at heart. Aware of the uncertainty that May elections could bring to our grand Portman Rd plans. Eager to make the case for continuing with investment projects. But I've since learnt that only a third of seats are up for grabs and so IBC is guaranteed to remain Labour. Such jeopardy wasn't there.

Farage was joking about the manager being off at the end of the season too. Wonder if Mark was discussing this with him at lunch. What a mess.

I would happily donate to a blue action fundraiser to get a Mckenna tribute made as I appreciate they cost a bit.

… its not the lying, or the sanctioned platforming of our club to make that party political video… it’s Farage being welcomed

You state - “Not for inviting or meeting Farage, that personally doesn’t bother me”

It needs to bother people. He is a really really nasty piece of work. He’s dangerous for this country. He’s a rascist and he’s an extreme populist and he’s a mini Trump.
Badenoch, Starmer, Polanski, and Davey are all flawed. But they are all principled in some ways.

Farage is a grifter… he’s made £54k from cameo already this year, he’s been funded by the worst, his councillors are appalling, he’s starting ponzi Bitcoin esque scams.

We enabled him.

Read into what he has said and done.

Ashton has to go.

He's an even bigger idiot than he's currently coming across as. Unless you're suggesting Farage has implicitly threatened the club in a kind of Mafia shakedown way. Which would be giving far too much credit/discredit to Farage tbf.

Who knows?

Whichever way you spin it Ashton comes out of it very, very badly.

“The cost of football crisis”
“Stop pricing fans out of the game”

He had a go at us, albeit nowhere near on the same scale, after we made a point about us playing in a black kit at PR that time too. That one said “Tradition Matters”.

He doesn’t like any dissenting voice, or our group at all. Says we’re ‘bad for the clubs family image’. He told us everyone at the club hates us, and that nobody was willing to work with us for at least the rest of the season (not that they do much anyway but).

What a total c***, I think the fact you didn’t make a big deal about it speaks volumes - I’d have been straight onto the press and telling any f***er who would listen- incredible restraint.

my take on this aqshton now knows what farage is. he was most probably a reform fan and thought i would invite farage to lunch. then farage asked for a tour of portman rd. ashton like a fool so said yes. then farage took advantage of the fool ashton , by taking the piss and doing that video. so now he now knows that farage is a snake and most probable lose his job over this. just because of his ego and couldn't see in front of his nose.

I think it's disingenuous to say Ashton's tenure has been a failure at the club. While I don't necessarily agree with the motto and the swathes of black paint swamping the interior of the club, there can be no doubt that there has been a good, forward thinking ethos around the club. We have more specialist staff with an increasing focus on data, we have a Cat A academy and a state of the art training facility is soon to be completed. And most of all, the performance on the pitch (the league table doesn't lie) and the unflinching faith in Kmck has been crucial.

But he needs to go now. This whole episode has been totally unacceptable. The club needs to act quickly and make the most of the upcoming hiatus. The following needs to happen:

1. Ashton needs to resign.
2. The Americans need come over ASAP, offer some words of encouragement and back Kieron and the team. And of course find a replacement CEO and hire a new chairman.

We can't dilly-dally about. We need action now before this spirals out of control and affects the FOOTBALL.

edit: Sorry jaykay I quoted you by mistake.

Arguably being a bit of a Cnt is something you want in a leader though - and perhaps one of the factors as to why we have come on leaps and bounds under his tenure.

However - this is completely something else and the bloke has to go.

It’s not, I know a plenty of people at board levels who are not. If anything, it’s better if they’re not like that.

Yup, that’s the only reason I can think of as to why he met him.

Which I think is perfectly understandable, it’s just gone way beyond that now.

Ah didn't mean to suggest that. Was exploring kinder available interpretations really, along lines that Ashton genuinely believed the day was in the club's wider interests (a terrible miscalculation), rather than self-indulgence/aggrandisement, and afterwards tried to hide just how poor the miscalculation was through lying. And reflecting that even that sorry scenario doesn't pass the smell check honestly. It's worse.

The whole thing is just thoroughly depressing, the lies and lack of transparency looks terrible. It's not just because it was Farage who'll I openly admit I dislike, I don't want our club effectively promoting any political party. This feels like a massive misguided screw up by the club.

Feck that. Farage is a vile, racist hate preacher getting rich off his own lies.
