All this just for the CEO's ego and wanting to meet Nigel Farage on 16:59 - Mar 26 by Herbivore

When this first broke I speculated the motivation was all ego driven. I'm very disappointed to have been proven correct. What a shit weasel.

He’s the same person he’s always been.., and 100% the same as the one you’ve blindly supported the last 2 years, in spite of the red flags.

He hasn’t changed. You wanted to be liked and safely in with the consensus, when your club needed scrutiny, agency, and accountability.

It ok when it’s SAFE isn’t it.

Where were you when your club needed you, not just you, hundreds and thousands of others too.

You were nowhere to be seen. The agency and accountability is easy now.

But this has been obvious for a long long time - it was SO avoidable, but it wasn’t ever easy speaking out.

We need to be better as a fan base at not being lazy and wanting just to get an easy thumbs up!!!

Why on earth was he so angry about that?! Does he expect every single banner to be sent to him in advance for approval?

Probably saw something he didn’t like to see.

Ashton treats the club and its facilities as his own personal fiefdom.

It’s his way or the highway.

Ashton threatened to “finish” our fans group for displaying ‘unauthorised banners inside HIS stadium’ during a recent meeting.

He was shouting and swearing at us for a good 45 minutes - we had to tell him to calm down and stop talking to us the way he was. Could tell from the (non) reaction of the other club staff present, it wasn’t the first time they’d seen him behave like that.

The whole meeting was wild and if I hadn’t have witnessed it myself, I probably wouldn’t have believed it.

If this is the end of him, then good riddance. Despite his good professional work, as a man, he’s never been fit to lead our great club.

He thinks he's untouchable, and those around him are largely puppets.

....that have had interactions with him over the last few years., whether that's through the foundation, sponsorships, ticketing issues, working with/for him, hospitality opportunities, etc, etc. and not one of them has had anything positive to say about him.

Literally nothing.

As I have been saying for a long while, anyone that isn't just a doe-eyed fawning fanboy can see exactly what type of character he is.

The sooner he's gone the better.

He’s a 100% plonker. Always has been, always will be.

I couldn’t care less who he has been meeting mind.

Maybe a new CEO won’t try and squeeze every single penny out of the fan base.

It’s not an excuse, but you don’t get to such positions without some sort of ruthless drive. Unfortunately that more often than not seems to make people think that they can treat people like dirt.

Good riddance. He won’t have learnt a damned thing from this though.

Arguably being a bit of a Cnt is something you want in a leader though - and perhaps one of the factors as to why we have come on leaps and bounds under his tenure.

However - this is completely something else and the bloke has to go.

He's always been a bell end, as many people have pointed out over the years. It just never truly mattered due to a single decision to appoint KM.

For balance, my own personal experiences have been the polar opposite but can appreciate the differing scenarios in which someone is presented can lead to different ‘showings’ of a person but doing what he did did leave a positive lasting impression on me and my boy.

Definitely time for Ashton to resign. No wonder he has been so quiet this week.

Epic misjudgement, confounded by lies to the fanbase.
Obviously our fans of reform/racism will not care less

Hopefully if he does not resign our american owners will realise Ashton needs oversight and appoint a chairman to oversee him this summer

A series of very poor decisions from him, but for me the most serious is how he reacted once he realised his error of judgement.

Rather than come out holding his hands up and repenting of it, he chose to double down and try and lie and cheat his way out of the mess. In the process causing totally unnecessary damage and division in the club.

That's why he has to go. Not the initial bad call, which would be forgiveable with a sincere apology, but the subsequent self serving dishonesty in how he's handled the scandal. A disasterclass from him and it will thankfully cost him his job.

In summary get to fook Ashton you slimy, arrogant POS.

It’s called integrity. A club that was built on values, honesty, fair play, inclusion and a central role in the community. A proud and proper family club.
Ashton and his actions have sullied that somewhat.
Personally, I’m feckin embarrassed and pissed off by the whole episode.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.
