| Follow the Town up or down 08:01 - Mar 31 with 1227 views | Blue_Heath | Seems many here are not. I am of course talking about the manager and team. I get people don't like what's happened myself included but we need to be there for the players when football returns. Pretty sure none of them nor KM and his staff had anything to do the incident. Let's be honest, we've struggled to get to a position where incredibly it's still in our hands, there is a real danger we don't even make top six if the majority of fan base turns on match days. Save the politics for the end of the season please. | |

Disagree that the leadership should not continue to have their feet held to the fire. I don't think these 2 are mutually exclusive. As for the last point, and I only speak for myself, this is not a political issue for me. It is an ITFC and trust issue.

You are entitled to your opinion but I just feel any destabilising will put a huge dent in already very challenging month ahead.

I really can't disagree with that! I would only, perhaps, disagree with the perceived source of that destabilisation. Ultimately. Uppa town! To the Premier League.

I support where it counts at the games and save my moaning for on here where it doesn't impact the team.

There are times, especially when faffing about in or around our penalty area, when fans get nervous. The problem is that going forward this is going to be attributed to the avoidable pressure brought about by the actions of our Chairman/CEO. A problem that will only go away when he goes. If I had a financial stake in the club I would make an offer to Ashton, resign today and if we are promoted this season we will still pay you any bonus you would be due. Money talks. There are other indicators that all is not well. No public support for Ashton from Ed, owners or sponsors for starters. Fabio must also be hurting.

Why hurting? Because he didn't get to meet his hero Farage?

Yeah, very odd that someone who is constantly laying into the team has gone full superfan since Farage visited.

Got punched in a fight? Is Wardley public in opposing the politics of Farage? Or maybe the comment meant his brand must be, but I am not sure that will be the case.

Spot on. | | | |
| Follow the Town up or down on 09:59 - Mar 31 with 709 views | ReusersTown | You're completely assuming the position that Ashton remaining in place is what is best for McKenna and the squad tbf. Further to that just going on like nothing has happened is going will not result in any accountability for Ashton he and the club will just assume they've got away with it scott free, worse than that, that the majority even endorse it, rather than that the fans are just focussing on supporting the team at the moment. It seems the silent fingers in their ears types on here seem to endorse it or don't mind us being perceived as far right. | | | |

10000000% this. Pretty heinous that a lot of the 'blue' named avatars are trying to shift the onus on to the fans to not make it political. When we've been plunged head first into it, and it would be a simple move to remove that political element in Ashton, but strangely they are vehemently against that! [Post edited 31 Mar 10:04]

Every cloud innit. Maybe something came good out of Nigel's visit. Turn that frown upside down.
| Follow the Town up or down on 10:10 - Mar 31 with 627 views | thebooks | Bit difficult when the Chairman and CEO is using the club to support the far-right. Blaming the fans for not making the top 6 as a consequence of this? Nah. | | | |

No football has been played since visit. If you bother to look at my other posts (most of which you downvote) I often encourage people to bring their voices on a matchday, this is not new and please do not use the opportunity to associate me with the f word.

I said save the politics until the end of the season which is not that far away, had this happened in September my view would be different.

| Follow the Town up or down on 10:36 - Mar 31 with 536 views | Churchman | The team will only succeed if the supporters and the club act as one and get behind them. A section of the supporters before 8 days ago disliked the players (largely because money was paid for them) and the manager (for various reasons). Little support, little trust from that section. In fact the weekly hate and contempt list was waved after most games, Hirst narrowly leading the scapegoat of the year awards race. Just look at this forum after a catastrophic defeat like the draw against Millwall the other day, let alone the truly shambolic performance at Stoke. Washing machines on Sunday spinning with the hot wash. In spite of poor support as evidenced by Charlton and Preston supporters to name but two (good attendances mind and much more positive in the ground than the keyboard brigade) we were in with a chance. We are not now. Forget it. That went with the idiocy of last week and all that followed. Two years ago the power of everyone pulling together really helped get us over the line. It is completely the opposite this time sadly. There are people that don’t want to support the players, despite them having nothing to do with this. Saving politics to the end of the season? That’s just not going to happen. These thoughts are really more about the future than the blame game. I actually fear for the future of the club now. If it goes badly, that might please some, but it won’t me. But there it is. It’s just how I see it going forwards. I can’t wait for the summer. | | | |

The future is my concern too, failing to go up this year with what has just happened would leave us in a very tricky position on all manner of fronts. Hence why leave it a month. April will see us either springboard or spiral downwards very quickly, we need it to be the former.
