Unless there is an appearance get out clause included we dont know about, it's a nice problem to have for £4.5m
He'd make a decent squad player (although not on this seasons evidence I guess?) or at the very worst case scenario we move him out on loan/permanent somewhere else. Same for Akpom.
They haven't pulled up any trees unfortunately, but they've added depth to the squad. And we quite cleverly aren't on the hook for anything should we fail to go up, they were both quite nicely structured deals for us with little risk. | | | |

I know he's not a 10 but I'm surprised we didn't throw him in there to supplement the midfield when we were experimenting with that role
Defensively he isn't great but going forward, he clearly has some quality

He was in the Sweden squad for the Euros on 2020, and has played 25 internationals since then. He's now 26, and should really be approaching his prime and at least be in contention for a place in the the World Cup squad. Sweden have some flashy forwards, but not huge strength in depth in midfield. It's probably a shame for him he didn't get a loan to one of the better teams in Belgium or Holland or Portugal, because I think then he'd be on Potter's radar, as Sweden historically have no problem selecting players from those leagues. |  | | |

With 7 important games over the next month, we need to look after any injured players rather than rush them back for Norwich. It's no more important than any of the other games, & less important than Boro. |  |
