Yep on the global exposure .. I’ve been backwards and forwards to Peru for the last 22 years and half of that time living there/here .. only last year did anyone when asking my club that I support (1,000 times a year on average) did I get any flicker of recognition … and it’s still occasionally happening this year because of that.
So all the good things that global exposure brings which I’m sure outweighs all the bad things. |  |

Yep on the global exposure .. As a non-ST, live-away fan there’s no best thing for me. It’ll be much harder to find tickets and even when I do the matches will be at silly o’clock for Sky and need a hotel. A match then becomes a £300 mini break.
All the benefits are for the club and regulars: testing yourself against the best, more money for better facilities/players. Watching better players and in theory a higher quality of football. As an underdog the wins are so much sweater too. |  |

I really don't get the love affair with the Championship. Almost every team coming to Portman Road and whacking 10 men behind the ball with significant amounts of time wasting and ridiculous fixture schedule because some teams don't have a working pitch.

Exactly this. Keep building, keep moving forward. The reality of becoming a Brighton or a Brentford isn’t exactly thrilling but it’s massively better than plodding about in the championship. |  |
