| Tonight 08:32 - Apr 21 with 2794 views | SomethingBlue | Anything achieved by a flat Bristol City or a depressed & injury-ravaged Stoke will be a colossal bonus let's be honest, although the latter could possibly do something if Millwall pull one of their more passive away displays. I'm probably as interested in the relegation games. We could do with Leicester beating Hull and one of West Brom/Blackburn (preferably Blackburn tomorrow) failing to win so that the Foxes still have a theoretical chance when they host Millwall on Friday night. I'd back their team of talented chancers to get something if they scent a great escape but Millwall will roll them over if already down. In any case, it's permutation hell now isn't it, all hugely distracting. | |

Technically, it will have everything to do with these last 4 or 5 games. Same for the other clubs. Points already on the board etc. Psychologically, the potential to be 4th tonight might be a heavy weight too
| Tonight on 09:17 - Apr 21 with 2054 views | _CliveBaker_ | What will be will be. I'd just like to see us beat Charlton tbh, it would guarantee us being 2nd tomorrow night and going to the following 2 away games knowing 1 win keeps it in our hands for the final day. Better still we beat Charlton, beat West Brom, and if Millwall don't take 6 points from these next 2 away games we would go to St Mary's knowing a draw confirms it, but worst case we lose and still have it in our hands on the last day. Beat Charlton tomorrow and its on, WBA then becomes the biggest game of the season. | | | |

Well no it won’t because there’s 12pts to play for in the last 4 and there were 126pts in the previous 42. In those 42 previous games, just off the top of my head: We’ve won once only from a losing position. We didn’t win for the first four games. We’ve had the 14th best away record in the league While also dropping 8pts to two teams who’ll be relegated. I could go on…

Do you think? I know the cup is secondary to promotion, but will many players want to miss out on an FA Cup semi and a Wembley appearance in their careers? Pragmatically maybe, but I think they'd go very strong for the cup too. Ideally a drawn out extra time heartbreaking loss.

Sure, but despite all that from those 42 games we're currently second in the league with a game in hand so if we don't do it from here you can't really say that it's not down to what happens in our last 4 games.

It's not the player's choice, but the manager's. And he's already said as much... apparently in their presser last week he was asked what sort of side he'd pick at Wembley if they won their next two games, and his answer was a smiling "we'll see".

Id love to see a bit of fire from our lads about these 4 games Km talks of hoping to play qpr with something to play for and bemoans scheduling. Clarke talks of hope and scheduling. Sure theyve said its in our own hands. But thats just factual. But lets see some passion about going for it. Treating every game like a cup final and leaving it all out there to get that promotion they all joined for.

I watched their game against Norwich, and they were woeful, so not putting much hope in this one.

Sure, you get my point though. In my view, if we don't go up, there will be far bigger structural issues that have plagued us rather than dropping a few points (which everyone does) during the run in. Recalling of course we somewhat stumbled over the line in 23/24. As you say though, after 42 games we are second and there on merit. COYFB.
| Tonight on 11:40 - Apr 21 with 1174 views | J2BLUE | Stoke unbeaten in 6 at home. Only 6 home losses all season. Only 1 by more than a single goal. There's a bit of hope. Norwich may have done us a real favour by sticking 4 past Bristol City. Hodgson wasn't happy. Can't imagine he's going to set up with an attacking formation at St Marys. Hopefully a back to basics 451 and try to nick a goal. | |

Would be fantastic if Norwich ended up helping us twice, by beating Millwall and by indirectly taking points off Southampton. Poor budgies would be crying about that all summer!
