I'd just like to see us beat Charlton tbh, it would guarantee us being 2nd tomorrow night and going to the following 2 away games knowing 1 win keeps it in our hands for the final day.
Better still we beat Charlton, beat West Brom, and if Millwall don't take 6 points from these next 2 away games we would go to St Mary's knowing a draw confirms it, but worst case we lose and still have it in our hands on the last day.

Well no it won’t because there’s 12pts to play for in the last 4 and there were 126pts in the previous 42.
In those 42 previous games, just off the top of my head:
We’ve won once only from a losing position.
We didn’t win for the first four games.
We’ve had the 14th best away record in the league
While also dropping 8pts to two teams who’ll be relegated.

And he's already said as much... apparently in their presser last week he was asked what sort of side he'd pick at Wembley if they won their next two games, and his answer was a smiling "we'll see". | |

Sure, you get my point though.
In my view, if we don't go up, there will be far bigger structural issues that have plagued us rather than dropping a few points (which everyone does) during the run in. Recalling of course we somewhat stumbled over the line in 23/24.
As you say though, after 42 games we are second and there on merit.
