| Leicester will go bankrupt - Talksport 06:54 - Apr 22 with 4416 views | smithy69 | Just listening to the financial expert on Talksport. They surely won’t survive 2m TV revenue for League 1 There wage bill is 150m- with no cut in contracts for being in League 1 They owe 80m In payments for previous transfers - and have taken there remaining 2 years parachute payments already upfront | | | | |

| Leicester will go bankrupt - Talksport on 07:53 - Apr 22 by FrimleyBlue | Don't know if it's at all similar. But did town take out a loan against Prem parachute money? can't remember if that was beginning of the summer before the prem, or last summer? |
That is quite common, and isn't dangerous so long as it used for cash flow management. So, cash comes in ahead of parachute payments being received. In Leicester's case, they seem to have borrowed against the next year's revenues. I would expect them to go into administration, probably soon enough that any points deduction is this season. They have created for years, and should have been kicked out of the league. Winning a promotion while cheating costs another club that Premier League place, for example. Horrible, long-term cheats, a mini-Man City or Chelsea.

Leicester players.. by Blue_Uprising 20 Apr 12:02Where might they end up?
It would be unpopular with fans of lots of teams, given how they have capitulated. But which Leicester players could be fully redeemed in good sides next year, away from
the Leicester circus.
Any we would see as realistic targets / or would want here?

That point at home isn’t looking very poor. I know we were unlucky with decisions, but turning up first half for that game would have been useful.

Wrong side of town for Cov. I can't see them training nearly 40 miles away. However, just googled and on current traffic it is 1 minute closer to Forest's ground than Leicester's ground. I bet that would ruffle a few feathers if they sold it to Forest as rumoured.

I think you are focussing on the wrong point. Town are struggling for automatic promotion because of our very average away form. We are 10th in the "away form" table, largely because of our poor results against the bottom half teams. This seems to me an issue of motivation. Hopefully they will be motivated for Charlton & WBA.

We're 10th largely because every other team has played more games than us away from home. We've played 2 less than every single team above us. It's still possible for us to end up with the 2nd best away record in the league. If we get Automatic, we'll likely have a top 6 away record. We've not been great away from home, and our performances against the lowest placed sides have been woeful, but our final record is massively dependent on the coming 7 days.

| Leicester will go bankrupt - Talksport on 09:12 - Apr 22 by Radlett_blue | Their original owner, who died in a helicopter crash, was a shrewd, successful businessman & by all accounts a good owner. His playboy some inherited the £bns & the club & I understand he is more interested in polo & racehorses & the club has been mismanaged under his stewardship. Wouldn't be a shock if he let it go. To be fair they were quite famously very badly affected by covid. 95% of clubs in the EFL are surviving off owners putting in more and more money in the hopes that they can move up to the mecca of the premier league | |

| Leicester will go bankrupt - Talksport on 07:22 - Apr 22 by RIPbobby | I genuinely feel for them. Money in football is horrible. I much preferred the filbert street days where a single transfer foresight can make a normal season into a great season. Football is going to break soon and a great reset is likely. Perhaps one day football will become the working man's game again. |
Why exactly do you feel sorry for them?

Correct. 2 more points away from home from the 2 games in hand we'd be 8th. 6 points, we'd be 4th (not saying we'll win both, just giving the positions). Having said that, we have been poor away especially compared to the other top teams (Millwall have 11 more points away than us!)

Because we are a few consistent bad decisions away being next on the list.

| Leicester will go bankrupt - Talksport on 09:58 - Apr 22 by rickw | Not bankrupt but maybe administration - which even if they do it now they'll start next season on minus points. But Fatuwu and Jordan James on the cheap?? James is only on loan but they can make it permanent for 5m euros, he's got to be worth at least double than now so maybe there's a deal to be worked out... |
They're not going to be able to buy Jordan James though are they? If they're heading into admin. I guess it would also be dictated on if he actually wanted to joint them, isn't it? Not sure how much power a player has in that scenario to change his mind.

A few and consistent bad decisions is contradictory. We also haven't been cheating every other team in the leagues we've been in and trying to weasel every without way out of it. So don't know why you're complaining is to them.

| Leicester will go bankrupt - Talksport on 08:03 - Apr 22 by ITFC_Forever | Surely it’s only a matter of time. In any other industry, nearly all the Championship clubs would have gone long ago. And the Premier League is directly to blame, hoovering up virtually all the game’s income and leaving the rest to feed on scraps. And to think there’s people out there who don’t think the football industry needs a regulator. |
Like FIFA, for example.....who may well ban England from World Cups because they see any attempt at regulation as political interference.

Their position is not that exactly, they have expressed concern that the regulator is not going to be as independent as initially indicated. It is not ANY attempt at regulation that they are worried about, they have warned against undue government interference, so long as the regulator is independent then there will be no issue.
