| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 10:44 - May 4 with 3752 views | CastroSito | Why would you be amazed? odd take. This is the most confident I've been in him staying in the last three years. I do feel like next season will be his last though, no matter the result. | | | |
| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 10:48 - May 4 with 3690 views | itfckenty | I'm actually the opposite. 2nd chance with us! As it stands I can't see anyone in the prem taking a serious punt, albeit that could change throughout the season and if he manages to keep us up. I think either way, he will leave at the end of next season, either A. Done all he can and wants a new challenge, B. Kept us up and wants to progress in a further established club. I'm confident | | | |

Maybe I’m trying to steel myself against it, but I’m convinced he’ll leave this summer. As with every summer for the last four years, the best summer business we can do is to keep hold of him.

Celtic will come calling and he’ll be gone. I just hope it’s not something that drags out for a month like last time. Good luck to him when he goes. A legend here at Town.

Ideally, one should feed their budgies on seed, otherwise they'll start grasping at straws.

| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 11:09 - May 4 with 3489 views | nrb1985 | If he does move on then the good news is that you'd hope MA and team will have had plenty of time to draw up a shortlist. I wouldn't be amazed if he's here come start of the season, similarly wouldn't be amazed if he's not. As I said in another thread though, whenever he decided to go we should build him a statue. | | | |
| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 11:16 - May 4 with 3430 views | bsw72 | I don’t understand why so many people think he’s moving on. He’ll be managing in the PL again at a club where he knows he has full support of board and fan base, with a team he has built again and based upon what I know of his personality the chance to prove he can keep this team up this time. I reckon it is more likely we lose him end of next season rather than now. | | | |

Or get relegated and get us promoted again. Both good longer-term projects. But what do I know: hoping.

| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 11:44 - May 4 with 3182 views | CopfordBlue | I would have been in favour of Rosenior as a replacement for Kieran (I disagree, he won’t be leaving this summer but don’t think he’ll be here for 27/28) until he took over at Chelsea . He wasn’t given long enough to make his mark there but I am not referring to the poor results, just the way he conducted himself. It made me cringe and he came across as a man who believed his own hype. Out of his depth at Chelsea and he would be here too. He needs to go back to a lower championship club or a side in league one and actually achieve something with them first. Kieran is a proven winner with a phenomenal record of success in a short career. His successor needs to have more than the potential to become a good manager. We’re not in league one now. | |

| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 11:56 - May 4 with 3136 views | Bent_double | He has to be given the funds to sign whoever he wants for the coming season. We're not staying up with the current squad, and if he's just told well, you can only sign another Phillips, or Cajuste for example, then he'll be off to a team with established PL players, a decent budget and scouting network to unearth the gems that are out there. Let's hope the owners back him financially. | |

| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 12:24 - May 4 with 2933 views | OldFart71 | KM can be very picky. He has a good contract at ITFC and whilst in the back on any persons mind the need to think of his family and his career ahead no reason to jump ship for a club that isn't any bigger than Town can become. I suppose that is the problem. He could go to a reasonably established club with perhaps a few players of better quality than Town. I think he would be better off waiting to see where he can take us next season and go from there. If we kept in the Prem then no reason to move on. If we got relegated then it's just another season of a long slog to try and get up again and as he has alluded to he wants a break, a getaway for a few weeks. I know how stressful it has been just following ITFC this season. The highs and lows, the will we won't we situation right up to the last game. If that is me as a supporter just think of the pressures as a manager. The players that don't get a regular start knocking on your door, the injuries to vital players, the discord caused by a player in the changing room, the expectations of the owners and the fans. Criticising your selections, moaning about no plan B. Having a go at certain players. It all adds to the pressure on relatively young inexperienced shoulders. A man who outwardly looks so calm and speaks with such common sense, who very rarely gets irate even when referees make appalling decisions. But inwardly he must have doubts, he must question himself and at times be hard on himself. Whatever his future and we hope that it is a few more years with Town we can only thank him, apologise for our doubts and comments and wish him all the luck in the world. | | | |

I would think there is a large transfer budget for next season. To stay up it would arguably cost £150m - £200m Which is madness when you write it down.

| I will be amazed if Kieran McKenna is our manager at the start of the season on 15:59 - May 4 with 2508 views | Swoody | There is more chance of the Ashton moaners finnaly shutting up than him leaving, he even said after the match on Saturday that his family have all settled in Ipswich after making the big move from Manchester and his kids happy at school here. No chance he will leave anytime soon. | | | |
