The issue with Fatawu has to be whether he performs at the required level consistently enough. Like Cajuste, he is clearly a very talented player but it is the impact on the game each match that matters. |  |

I think we’ll find out this summer just how serious we were on Azeez. If we liked him that much we’ll surely now go back for him, if we don’t I suspect our January bid was somewhat to weaken a rival as much as it was to strengthen us. |  |

He’s obviously had an unreal season but have to say he’s gone missing a bit in the games I’ve seen him in, notably against us, at home to Norwich and at Leicester (so obviously a very small sample). He also put it straight at Walton before they hit the bar, they may well have been up if had scored that chance. Same can be said about the missed header in injury time at Leicester.
Trouble is there will be a massive PL and English tax on him now and we have been burnt there before. I don’t think he’s a 25M player for example. If we can get him for Jack Clarke type money, then sure. [Post edited 12 May 4:12]

Perhaps, although I do think he's better than Cooper who is pretty much a journeyman Champ player.
Maybe I am misremembering but he was certainly mentioned as one of the players of the season.
I think Crama is very good, we will see if he stays at Millwall.

….there’s a handful of posters on here that I choose not to reply to for various reasons, but largely to ensure I don’t get involved in lengthy pointless rows that clog up the board and cause more problems for Phil et al.
So if I disagree with their opinion or tone then I’ll downvote the post in lieu of a reply and the inevitable protracted argument that those particular posters demand.
In this particular instance I don’t think that Crama is a “superb player”.

We built a Championship All-stars team last time and we were way off the pace. We need to be buying players from top leagues. They are at a completely different level of athleticism. I had the Spurs vs Leeds match on the TV and the Millwall vs. Hull match on my phone. The speed difference between the games and in the crispness of the passing was ridiculous. The only Championship player I can think of that is worth going for is Hackney, but I'd be underwhelmed even if we got him to be honest.
We need a couple of on the way out Premier League players, and players who have had a decent run in Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 or Prinera Liga. |
