" Ok we agree, therefore we will retract the explusion, however due to you admitting guilt on spying on middlesborough prior to the first leg, we have no choice but to forfeit the result in middlesboroughs favour resulting in a 3-0 win for them. With the second leg only being a 1-0 victory by southampton, it means middlesbrough will move onto the final after a 3-1 aggregate victory.
Becasue you admitted spying on other clubs, we feel the 4 poin deduction next season will now be 10 points for pssing us off
What has happened in the past is irrelevant surely. This is the first time this newly written rule has been broken so this is the first chance to set the precedent. Unfortunately for them, they will feel the consequences of it. But I guarantee no club will ever do this again going forwards as the punishment has been strong.

Also none of those instances directly impacted the play-offs - the punishment is harsher because the weight of the crime is greater.

“How dare we be given such a harsh punishment of being kicked out of a game worth hundreds of millions, for cheating to get in the game worth hundreds of millions”
Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

"...a figure dwarfed by what has been taken from Southampton in a single afternoon."
Blub a dub dub.
Is it only me that thinks that bit also makes zero sense, just chucked in because it's a big number. What have Everton's losses in a season got to do with anything else?
