And 1 police dog.
Yet only 2 arrests.
How can this be so. Surely all those knuckle daggers chucking stuff at the police are breaking the law?
Just disgusting watching them.exploiting a young man's death for their own violent actions

two tier policing, innit

There will be plenty more arrests over the coming days and weeks considering the clarity of many of the press photos, let alone those the police will have taken.

Busy few days coming up for Hampshire police, looking at photos and footage and then knocking on plenty of doors.

Likely a perfect example of policing according to the people/circumstances, and not adopting a one-size-fits-all approach.

Safer and easier to get sufficient photos/videos for incrimination and identification, and then pick them off one by one at their home addresses.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

There'll be a few getting knocks on the door over the coming days/weeks.

Plenty of video evidence out there and even those covering their faces, the plod will match clothing from CCTV at points where their faces weren't covered.

From a couple of videos* I saw, it looked to the laymen like the Police bods were really struggling to contain things / our of shape (to borrow a footballing term), so not surprised they weren't concentrating on arrests.

*In particular, the one where they were pushed up against houses and having bins thrown at them - they didn't know where to go.

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

Common practice, arrest those which are very obvious and easy to do so without inciting further trouble, but then follow up based on video footage (body cams etc) to then identify further arrests, plus align with existing warrants.

They're all from Ingerland judging by the flags.

My Cross of St. George would be the first thing I'd reach for when popping out to protest police brutality...

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

I see he was parroting the far right 'two tier policing' myth again today as well.

Indeed. Refused to condemn the violence in Parliament just now and rightly taken down by Starmer.

As Starmer said, it is exactly who he is.

I believe that they are still dealing with rioters from the disturbances of a couple of years ago.

Although Starmer’s right, they’re frustrating impotent words in a location where Farage is protected by the system. Off the back of his thinly veiled call to arms yesterday, and as a pattern of behaviour, he needs to be investigated for incitement. He’s not covered by Parliamentary Privilege when he flaps his gums all over social media and on his GBNews show.

To use a football ananlogy here, Starmer occasionally reminds me of Mick Mccarthy - if he chose to go on the attack a bit more, he'd probably achieve a bit more and be a bit more popular.

Particularly when faced with the Political Lambert Farage.

Well, SYL was there, and he isn't.

Also members of National Rebirth, a party so extreme they make Rupert Lowe's lot look like the Salvation Army.

Just heard a report from Southampton where folk are clearing up. Garden fences and bricks from the walls used as missiles. People clearing up the glass outside their houses at daybreak before the kids leave for school.

Of course there are questions to be asked about the whole affair, and they will be. For Farage and his ilk to ignore the wishes of Mark Nowak are beneath contempt. For people to support this, even though the evidence is overwhelming that these people only care about themselves, and don't give a damn about anyone else whether you support them or not, especially if it means they become better off financially, says they must share that outlook.

This was a hideous crime committed by an absolute scumbag, and compounded by police incompetence. For people to exploit this is downright wicked and evil.

I think, for perhaps the first time, I saw a bit of shame on Farage's face then - at 1m35s he does a little gulp and a certain look flashes across his eyes.

What he represents is vile and treacherous to this country.

He knows it.

Beyond all understanding and logic.
