No lies detected. The irony being American soccer fans, at least those that go to MLS games are the ones most into the actual game and not fking about on their phones or shoveling food and drink into their faces. Half time shows are for c___s anyway. Want to see a singer, go to their fking concert.

Both teams should come out on 15 and line up for the kick off, or keep warmed up by hitting cross field balls and trying not to hit the face lift out of Madonna.

Just be thankful they weren't able to book The Grateful Dead and we were treated to an extended jam in the middle of an hour of 'Dark Star'.

| WC Final half time on 07:30 - Jul 15 with 1430 views | Devereuxxx | Beyond how unnecessary and moronic that would be - surely it would have a massive impact on the players? If your body is used to 15 minutes recovery time, then by half an hour you'll be getting stiff, require extra physio work, and things of that ilk? Makes injuries in the first quarter of the second half likelier I would wager. Not like you can send the subs out to warm up either... | | | |

Nonsense. Of course the subs can warm up. Providing they dress up as dancers and join in 😀

Indeed, pretend they didn't get the memo. On a slightly serious note, where are the subs expected to do their half-time drills to keep warmed up?

The whole thing is unnecessary. Nobody would have complained had the concert taking place before the game. They could have played een longer than 25 minutes. I watched a fair bit of the World Cup in Australia on SBL nad they used the hydration breaks in order to show ads. I assume the USA broadcasters did the same whereas our broadcasters chose not to. Having a concert will take up ad time so I don't see the benefit in having the show at half time.

| WC Final half time on 09:55 - Jul 15 with 1030 views | redrickstuhaart | Was always going to happen. They avoided officially announcing it til now to avoid scrutiny and complaints. Utterly dishonest. And hugely problematic for players in terms of maintaining readiness without wasting energy in another warmup. Disgraceful. Hope it is booed throughout. | |

| WC Final half time on 10:03 - Jul 15 with 978 views | Blue_Balls | Technically, FIFA are not able to do this. The length of the half-time break is as per IFBA rules so any amendment to the rules would require approval from the football rule-makers. But we all know what will happen..... | | | |

This is the biggest issue for me. A player spends their entire life playing a game in a particular format to have the single biggest match of their career suddenly played differently. All that conditioning, sport science, muscle memory, habit, routine (and player superstition - which plays a big part for some) pushed aside. FIFA have shown their true colours at this World Cup. Let's hope it's the last one this regime is in charge of.
