Excellent and slightly surprising at the unanimous decision and speed of it. Infantino needs to go. The are strong suggestions this is another Trump family/associates grift. He shouldn’t be allowed to survive this.

Probably the worst one I can recall was 94, but that wasn't terrible by any means.

I loved that one, those eastern European teams coming through, and the Romario / Bebeto partnership for Brazil.

...even though we didnt qualify, it was good. Followed the ROI instead.

We need qualifiers, but because they are expanding the World Cup so much it makes it easier to qualify so matches have less jeopardy. We should scrap the Nations' League instead.

Great news someone is standing up to FIFA at last.

It seemed like the first 3 weeks of the WC was qualifiers!!

How is Infantino still in post ? After the Trump WC debacle, Ronaldo/Messi red card avoidance and now this he has to go surely.

So, if I've got that right, that includes:

World Cups for both genders at all age levels
Both genders' futsal World Cups
Both genders' Olympic football tournaments
Both genders' FIFA Series
and the other little bits and pieces around the edges, like the Beach Soccer World Cup

Lionesses involved in the European qualification play offs for Brazil 27 in October.

Assume these are cancelled unless Infantino backs down.

Good. Next step should be to end all international qualifiers, too. Players hate them, fans hate them. Disruption of domestic leagues is loathed by everyone. End it.

That really is beside the point mate.

Because UEFA is the only confederation with any interest in governance. The others just say "show me the money".

Can't we just ban the US from everything until they realise that not every single aspect of human life is an opportunity to make shedloads of money?

Every aspect of public health
GMO foods
Sport
Law
Tech
Prisons
War

It's all making the world really shoite, expensive and unsafe.

The extent to which the corruption around Trump is out in the open is astonishing, and yet he and his hangers on still get away with it.

Fifa ‘world cup’ going to end up as the USA’s ‘world series football championship’ with only themselves + maybe Argentina competing innit.

Fingers crossed …

The PDC became stronger than the BDO.

The WBA Heavyweight Boxing belt is older than the WBC, but the WBC is considered more prestigious.

It's time for multiple World Champions in Football, and we can unify when the Trumpian generation of fckwits has died.

This is so definitely a deal made with USA administration that has been months / years in the making , if you read deeper into this the investment funds are lined up and paperwork is in place- trying to force through short timescales with threats. If it was for the good of the game they would auction the new structure to the highest bidder for a period and probably go to Middle East control rather than American. How much will he pocket himself if this goes through and Football sorry Soccer is bought by the USA

To be fair, UEFA is incredibly rich compared to counterparts in Africa, SEA etc. $40m is chump change to UEFA but could be a massive investment for smaller nations.

We could just have a Euros tournament in Spain in 2030 if they don't back down.

Could really go in for the kill and invite South America to join us.

Not all of South America, surely...

We can make an exception for the team who have a tantrum and start punching people when they get knocked out of tournaments.

Argentina can play in the Trump Cup with USA.

Can’t really see any option other than having qualifying matches for the World Cup or the Euros, though.

The tedious friendlies and this nations league nonsense are overkill though and I loathe those 12 day international breaks where one match is often just a pointless friendly with fringe players and those who couldn’t get a sick note from Arteta or Pep.

Just play the qualifiers on a weekday like they used to, although I guess the problem nowadays is the South American WC qualifiers, with so many of their players involved in Europe’s top divisions now.

Shame it took this to mobilise the EUFA countries rather than that disgusting FIFA peace prize aberration last year.
