Reform plans to use the Navy to stop small boats 20:17 - Aug 3 with 3441 viewsStokieBlue

Some quite incredible stuff:

- The Royal Navy will remove people from small boats whilst at sea
- They will take them to the France or Belgium infringing on territorial waters.
- If France or Belgium won't take them the navy or marines will deposit them on the beaches further infringing on their territory.

Whilst probably being illegal the French have also said it's not happening.

Also seems very noticeable that Farage has started using the word "invasion" as much as possible in his statements and interviews since the events in Ceuta.

I guess they have a lot to distract from given the timing revelations around Farage today and the fact Tice is being investigate.

Any Reform voter who believes they would actually do that is an idiot. It's impossible.

I’ve always struggled to see the appeal of a man who looks, sounds and dresses like Alan Partridge, but surely even the thickest of the thick must get alarm bells about this pointless by-election? It’s so ridiculous, it’s completely mind blowing. I still don’t understand why it’s even allowed.

Stood (close'ish) to him the other day (if only I had a milkshake).

Two observations. He's shorter than you think. He's oddly proportioned - in that he has a large head, a long torso and short legs. It's 'oddly disturbing'.

I also suffer from dobber head syndrome so I can’t judge him for that. It does seem he’s peaked now and is on the decline, though I’m sure he’ll beat the bin. What a farce.

I think you can be assured our resident fanboy in chief, will lap this buIIshit up very readily.

This is very clearly a non starter. Completely unworkable, illegal and unacceptable internationally. As the OP says, this is very blatantly to divert attention from Farage and his dodgy finances.

Large head, you say?

It might be unwise to do the Bob Mortimer joke at this time.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a good proportion of Reform voters would prefer the Navy to use the small boats for target practice.

Does he not realise that we don't really have a Navy any more.

I know this is somewhat of a joke, but our navy is decently sized if you go by tonnage.

But obviously not exactly designed for hunting now little boats just off the coast.

Any guesses who said
“We cannot get involved directly in another foreign war. We don’t have a navy,”
“ we haven't got a Royal Navy that, frankly, is worth a candle”
“ Given that we can’t even send a Royal Navy vessel to defend British sovereign territory and an RAF base”

They do believe it though. They were asked in Clacton today and they said they trust him to deliver.

And Farage has proven it with his previous campaigns, especially this one, the 70 million Turks and that there is a subset of the electorate that will believe whatever he says.
