Bad move in my eyes. Id prefer Jackson. Liam had a good four months for us and was average the rest of the time. I would not do a deal with chelsea either as they will always win. Perhaps the season loan is the only way I'd be content. Just think there are better deals out there, somewhere. |
Don't disagree with you that it might not be a good move. But if Ashton thought it was the right move, he's kept the door open for a return.
We have seen how hard it is to bring strikers in over the last few years, so having the iron in the fire with Delap best worst position we have.
I've always thought he was signed as a right winger and moved up top as we couldn't get the striker we wanted. Maybe I'm wrong. | | | |

You could see how McKenna began to make a real difference with him over that season.

It would be stupid not to entertain it. One season doesn't define a player, especially a young player at Chelsea.
Be surprised if it happens. Would feel like Delap admitting defeat a little, frankly he can do better than a relegation fighting team. |
