"A report from Germany." Is not conclusive. Dose not even name the source. A lot of people in Germany...
| Tammy Abraham Update on 09:54 - Aug 28 with 1525 views | iamipswich | Given this is the EADT's 'big one' of the summer you'd think they've been given a steer as to whether or not the player himself even wants to come. They could have egg on their face if their one big exclusive turns out to be a transfer that doesn't happen. Particularly given the amount of patting themselves on the back that's been going on since the reveal. Very much hope they're right and FWIW I'm a big fan of the EADT guys. You can see them effervescing with what cynics may call smugness on this one - I'll call it pride. | |

The two major differences being that this is a loan not a permanent transfer and there isn't time left for messing around. The former gives Abraham the ability to return to Villa next year, much less of a commitment. The latter means that any sign of Abraham dragging his heels to run the clock down and the deal can be put on the back burner, with other options prioritised.

| Tammy Abraham Update on 08:55 - Aug 28 by FrimleyBlue | Not forgotten no And whilst you can absolutely look at other strikers. Imo we dont wanna be waiting around for his answer when theres only 4 days left With palicios it appeared he was interested in the move early on but we needed to work with the other club. Different scenarios Based solely on the words used in regards to the move as thats all we have to go on [Post edited 28 Aug 9:00]

And your rabbinical parsing of every word in every transfer story is incredibly tiresome.

Absolutely this. We had 4 weeks to complete the Palacios deal. We now have only 4 days to get in a new CF. Edit: must learn how to spell the fellow's name! [Post edited 28 Aug 11:10]

We won’t just be working on one deal though. Whether it’s 4 weeks out or 4 days out. The club will be working the Abraham deal, as well as 2-3 others - and if they aren’t then people won’t be doing their jobs properly. I suspect we’re down the line with 2-3 other strikers, but will have simply put more time into the Abraham deal given we’ve had encouragement from both Villa and the player that a deal is there to be done. However we’ll know the parameters of other deals should Abraham decide he doesn’t want to come and strike deals (if they’ve not already been struck) once we have that information.

and of course if the Tammy deal fails to materialise and someone else is signed, we will have to put up with 'panic buy' moralising every time the new signing has a less than impressive performance

Apologies that you feel it's tiresome to add a reply to a thread about a transfer. Should I tire over your replies too? Just so I can understand the emotional requirements of threads.

I believe that is exactly what I said, we would have other options However.. Tammy may be option 1 If he doesn;t give us an answer until Monday, but in that time, our other 2/3 options let's say flemming as an example.. doesn't want to wait for us to give them an answer and chooses to join Hull again example.. If Tammy then says no, we've missed out on number 1 and possibly number 2 with only a day to go It's how we went into the prem season with Al Hamadi as back up, when we left the final day thinking and hoping Broja was coming in.. My first cat was called Tammy. We thought she was going to be a he and I'd already painted "Tommy" on the side of his/her cardboard box, so it was the obvious efficient change to make.
