What's he really done to deserve any stick though? Anyone would think he'd stood on stage and chanted 'Death to Palestine"

He just wants to play his gigs and put on a show for his fans FFS. That's what he does, it's literally his job, and now Kraft and Macklemore between them have stitched him up.

Sure, he could have just said "If Macklemore can't play then I wont either" and no doubt some of you think that's what he should have done. But that's a big ask, this isn't exactly a pub tour he's on. Probably lead to him being sued for breech of contract. I expect Kraft (the real villain of the story, let's be fair) has deeper pockets than even 'our Ed'

I predict he'll lose a few followers, and get abuse online from the terrorist fan club for some time, but he's not about to get full on cancelled.

It will affect the club not one jot.

With one donation he has done more for the people of Palestine than 99.9% of those criticising him.

Poor Ed he seems to be getting a kicking. I saw Paloma Faith having a go at him online and that she told her kids 'free palestine' every night before bed,I kid you not. So she thinks it's OK to politicise musicians now. Like each one should come down on the side theh agree with, and take a stance against Kraft Gilette Stadium.

What should be do? Cancel the tour and say free palestine?

....than her singing them a "lullaby" before bed, the poor kids.

She's a proper weirdo that one, she'll jump on any bandwagon that happens to trundle past her.

Can’t believe the musician from Framlingham hasn’t solved the Israel/Palestine conflict yet.

What do you mean? Trump solved that conflict nearly 20 months ago. He unfairly missed out on the Nobel Peace Prize for it but was rightly recognised with the FIFA World Cup Inter-galactic Peace Trophy. There isn't any conflict in the world now.

One of the "loudest" (if not THE loudest) on here has happily worked for a major company on the BDS list due to it's financial and political support of Israel.

It's largely performative attention seeking.

I think this will rumble on a lot longer than the Farage debacle. PR nightmare for him and the club.

WTF has any if this got to do with the club?!

This is well into my uncomfort zone, so I'm largely keeping out of it. But if it's real, that tracking centre that Kraft runs from the stadium is absolutley nuts!

Not as nuts as potentially raping disabled kids of course (if there's any truth to that as well), but still. It doesn't look like modus operandii of a well balanced and grounded person to me.
But I've no idea what, if any, of that is true.

Seems a reasonable enough corporate message. But is it legit or a front to just shut down any criticism of the Israeli State (as seems to have happened in this case)? I'd never heard of it.

What I don’t get is why an American citizen (Kraft) would be so beholdent to a foreign country and Nethanyahoo!! Well, I do get it but I think that makes me an antisemite or something!! Madness.

Always, like J2, looking for the diversion while ignoring the detail of what you're confronted with. Pathetic.

I’m not an Ed fan personally. He’s a bit marmite like James Blunt lol!

It’s nothing to do with the fact he’s ginger as I like red heads (women) but he could probably retire and never work again and tbh I wouldn’t miss him but the ladies seem to love him. Think he should take a break from music and concentrate on his wife and kids

The reaction is so disproportionate to the actual issue. It's absolutely bonkers, and its got feck all to do with morals and everything to do with the media wanting clicks and ad revenue, and people's desperation to humble anyone who dares achieve anything in their life.

Its tall poppy syndrome.
