Looks like a big interview in the Guardian tomorrow with Kieran McKenna 22:42 - Oct 6 with 7132 viewsKorrupt

Headline is 'Taking Ipswich up, then leaving'. Could be an interesting read. His first comments since leaving I believe.

Apologies. It certainly is worth clicking on, and if I find a link I will do so.

On the Guardian more generally, they have stopped readers' comments on Politics Live which as well as making the product poorer, I am sure will reduce traffic flow throughout the day, because I frequently looked at only those comments as they progressed throughout the day.

In many ways, it was the political equivalent of TWTD.

The timing of the interview, just ahead of our game against Fulham, is probably just coincidental.

I am hoping it's all positive about Town, and just a story to promote him for his next job at Spurs.

Many apologies, Phil.

People will just have to buy the paper, if the article doesn't emerge online.

Canny timing from KM.

Straight after the first international break when a number of chairmen will be starting to consider pulling the trigger on incumbents.

I read it before the big fella pulled the plug.

Nice interview. Kieran definitely did the right thing. Great to know he's still living locally and very pleasant to hear of his obvious feelings for the club and the area.

Campervanning around the East Anglian coast. Hope he emptied his chemical waste in Norfolk.

Also, phenomenal to read about his multiple world records in disciplines so diverse as...

...well, read the article in the Guardian to find out about that.

I can confirm there's no mention of Farage or Reform in the article...now, what sort of custard do you like? 😉

It all makes sense now, given the the news article on TWTD which contains a link.

Does this suggest some sort of co-ordination between Phil and Nick?

I imagine …. This is a total guess/prediction … being the Guardian … somewhere in the piece there will be some mention of the Farage or Reform “event” even if it’s not from KMac’s mouth…. I’m willing to accept a custard pie to the face if I’m wrong.

“For people on the outside it’s maybe a bit more difficult,” he says. “But those who know my path and my values, the ones closest to me who know me really well, I think they understood why I wanted to step out and what the benefits were of having a period like this.”

It's all about values isn't it!

Welcome back Sitters.

Getting a ban during a period with no games probably isn't the worst punishment!

I found that sentence really heartwarming.

Lots of discussions on here over the years about KMc or various players being "certain" to go because "everyone would go if they were offered more money somewhere else".

It always makes me sad for people who think like that - and I always tend to kick back against it - because if you are stuck in a pattern of thinking that money is everything (particularly for players and managers who already have a lot of it) then you really are missing out on far more important values than extra cash.

So to hear KMc implicitly state this, well maybe that can enlighten some of us a little.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!
