The sad truth is our best players of the Evans era have probably been loans: Dos Santos, Lawrence and Fraser in particular. Says it all really.

Daryl Murphy's 27 goals was some achievement, he was robbed of the player of the year award

How the feck did Bamford win it, that smacked of the FA giving it to a future starlet rather than Murphy who scored almost 50% more goals than him. Deeney was the other who will be knarked

Walters is probably the next best performer?

Cresswell and Mings are the other notable achievers

It's easy to forget Waghorn but it was very brief. 15 goals and 10 assists is not to be sniffed at, we have missed his corners and free kicks big time!

Perhaps the most underrated player in that time is Paul Anderson who I believe provided a lot of ammunition for our set pieces?

Bullard in his loan spell was also very, very good, just a shame it turned a bit sour afterward.
