Hull have released from his contract.
Available on a free for definite now.
Here's hoping we get him in.

Poll: Apologies I'm bored. How many signings will we have by Plymouth at home.

I'm torn on this.

Do I like him as a player? Yes, very much so.

Can he string a run of games together? Probably not.

I think we should probably pass on this one.

Agreed we’ve enough injury prone players and average strikers without adding him to both lists

Norwood, Keane, Jackson and Harrison is a decent (on paper) league one strike force.

Add Sears in for the run in and it would be a nice blend IMO.

Truly impaired.

Yes on a pay as you play deal

No on any other deal but can you see his agent or he himself accepting that?

A season in League One would do him some good imho, he may finally crack it. The talent is there, he just needs a run of playing.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I don't disagree on that but I wouldn't be surprised to see one of that list move on

I'd personally like a number 9 coming in plus Keane simply because Keane has no track record of staying fit for any length of time

Not for me, injury prone and not exactly prolific. Probably wouldn’t take such a hit on his wages either considering we will offer next to nothing.

Pay as you play at best for me we need to get rid of all the injury prone players on hefty wages not increase them.

Completely agree. We have enough injury prone players without adding Keane to the list.

Very wary of signing another injury prone player , if it's a choice of Norwood or Keane , it would have to be Norwood .

You just know we’re going to be mugs and offer him a 3 year deal. There’s no way he’d sign a pay as you play deal, but I imagine something along the lines of a 1 year deal which is heavily incentive should he make certain appearances etc (25+ games triggers a years extension - or something like that).

I’m conflicted. I think he does his best work dropping off which means he could be operating in the space Judge wants to play. If they can work that out his quality means he’ll boss Div 3, IF he can remain fit.

Yeah I agree. If I had the choice I’d rather Quaner in truth. He’s not as good a footballer but he has the attributes we need.

Yes, pretty much that.

It might just depend if he gets an offer from a Championship club, he presumably knows he'll have to see a very big reduction i wages wherever he goes.

Indeed, we need a consistent team playing well rather than lots of bodies hoping a combination that works is fit.

Completely agree and especially when wages will be so tight next season due to the wage cap. We can’t afford to waste a penny and Norwood has to take preference.

We still need that hold-up forward though, but we can’t afford to carry an expensive player for a a season if he can only play 1/3 games

Saw him twice and didn't impress, though the whole team is absolutely awful.

Could be decent but probably wants higher than average wages and is injury prone. Surely need to offload a striker or two before we bring anymore in if the Norwood deal is complete.

Really good footballer, far too good for league one but obviously suffering injury wise. I am not sure he works as a 1 up top though much like mcgoldrick he likes to drop deep. I think he will go to America

Not for me. I'd prefer us to go out and get Tom Eaves on a free to go with Norwood. You'd still have Harrison & Jackson with Sears to come back which would easily be strong enough for L1.

I really cant get my head around what people have seen of Jackson to suggest he’s likely to add any value next season. He looked way out of his depth in the Championship and I didn’t see anything to suggest he’s anything close to being capable for even the level below, although time will tell. Aside from a brief spell of goals for a side romping the league in League 2, which is another big step down in quality from league 1, he’s not scored goals anywhere. He looks every bit the player that got his break into the game through a competition. It’s funny how Nouble was given so much stick here (who in my opinion was also out of his depth but certainly a better footballer than Jackson) while KJ seems to get away with it. Hurst has so much to answer for with that one, I think it smacked of desperation.

As for Keane, I would pass. IF kept fit he could definitely be an asset but it’s been an issue over his career and we can’t afford to carry him.
