A better half than previous games.... 19:48 - Dec 1 with 1557 viewsitfcjoe

....better defensive structure and we look to understand the shape and be working through the thirds a bit more.

But, no shots, and they've had the better chances. So hard to see where a goal comes from, but can easily see us losing this.

Nolan, been poor in the middle - he can't last much longer

The Oxford players keep falling every time we get the ball off them and referee is just giving them free kicks.

Judge will be on for Nolan soon. We're so static going forward. We get the ball in a crossing position but then go back and forth three or four times before someone finally decides to put the ball in

Anyone else concerned about Lankester? Really struggled since he came back.

I'm not sure I agree with us being better structurally at the back. I think that is more down to the opposition...although not as good in the final third as others we have played....they look infinitely more likely to score than us.

It's a pretty drab affair to be honest.

Nope still a young player in terms of experience. Plenty of ability and has played in about 4 different positions in a struggling side.

Yes, better. It's two sides visibly low in confidence though, they had a good couple of minutes in the middle of the half, us at the end. Whoever scores first will win this one, assuming anyone does manage a goal.

The one good thing that Nolan did probably lead to our best chance. Drinan a little slow onto that through-ball.

Worryingly we've still switched off twice, once from a free kick and once Ward's poor clearance.

Dozzell's use of the ball is very out of place in this match.

I'd like to see him out on that right hand side, very dangerous there but gets lost in the middle at times.

He's almost playing the old Park-Ji Sung role tonight of trying to press their playmaker heavily rather than get on the ball

He's had his moments but he looks rusty. No surprise after more than 18 months out.

It is the second line that is critical.

It matters nothing how pretty the football is. Our keeper has made saves and they have hit the woodwork. Their keeper made one block and that is it.

Dozzell has made a couple of very good passes but we really don't look likely to score.

We only look more organised because the other side are nowhere near as assertive in punishing mistakes (which have been regular and largely unforced).

Exactly, Oxford are a load of schite, low on confidence, similar to us, they don't attack with the pace and precision that other teams do which means we look less ragged.

We are missing better forward passing options when they’re on... apart from a corker from Dozzell.

But agree it’s not been terrible.

Bennetts not doing enough.

I really like the look of Drinan

We have missed someone running around aimlessly before passing the ball out of play I suppose.

He's just the current scapegoat. It's the Mesut Ozil effect. Yes he gives the ball away a lot and yes he is out of position, but he is trying things no one else does. This is why he is a 10.
