We played well first half and should really have been 2-0 up. Wish we were more willing to take shots from outside the box more often like Bennetts did with the one that wrong footed the keeper, he had another chance later on where he could have taken it on but took far to many touches trying to work the perfect angle.
They made one chance first half and took it, after some really sloppy work by us. Other than that, we were the better side and ultimately deserved the points. |  |

The worrying thing for me. Is the two times they actually tried to attack they scored one and should have taken a point with the other. When teams come at us our backline shts itself. |  |

It’s simple if we are attacking the full backs are high, wait for us to lose it and play ball in behind them they have the turning circle of the USS Gerald Ford and slower than a broken Trabant, the centre backs come across to cover leaving the attacking midfielders and or strikers unmarked as our midfield considers defending a chore they rather not do. | | | |

Hawkins had important pieces in both goals. We definitely seem to play better when he’s on the pitch.
Jackson impressed me too. Not just with top-end work but how he would power back into defensive positions. Especially when Chambers is looking very slow these days.
Huws is improving every game.
Dobra is simply exciting to watch. He could be our next cult player?

As others have said, the cross flicked off Woolfenden which made Akins have to check his run, it bounced up quite high, Cornell was quick off his line to close him down and panic him, whilst Judge was also running at him from behind - both of which causing him to rush his effort with the wrong foot, and he was also off balance.
I know you want it to be a sitter so you can claim they should've drawn, and it would therefor be another stick to beat Lambert with, but there's really no need.
All of the above makes it a difficult chance; or certainly more difficult than "he should have buried it." | |

100%, was obvious in the ground, why Akins ends up ahead of the ball as well | |
