We have good coaches at U18 and U23 level already and Gill is a highly respected good coach. Who’s going to get sacked to make way for them?

Everyone at our level (Championship-league one) in the footballing world.
No manager has ever said a bad word about him. Several comments on here in the past of speaking to people from other club who have picked him out as a good player (why would they lie?). His teammates love him. | |

I’m all for former players staying at the club. It builds identity and is a positive thing. However, they have to contribute. In other words, if they don’t have the rig(t skills to coach and/or there isn’t a place for them with the current incumbents, then sadly it’s a no. |  | | |

Maybe, but only if Cook sticks around for a number of years, because I think Chambers and Skuse have another couple of playing hears ahead of them.
I'd worry for Cook's tenure if Evans is still around in 2-3 years. See Jewell, Keane and Lambert. That's not to say Chambers and Skuse won't coach us at some point though. |  |

Probably as part of the academy set up to begin with. I think Gills position this summer will be taken over by Richardson from Wigan. [Post edited 13 Mar 2021 21:35]

I don't think either of them will be with us post summer 2022, but it wouldn't surprise me if they got picked up elsewhere, especially Chambers. Northampton would be the logical destination but who knows.
Skuse said recently he wants to play another couple of years. Again, I doubt that'll be here, but if they're playing elsewhere they won't be coaching here. | |
