Based on one goal?

If that's what we are doing, Cole Skuse should definitely start.

Massive difference between U23 football and L1 but I do agree we might as well give him a couple of games now the season is over.

Norwood can't get fit so he might as well sit out the rest of the season. Drinan has had enough chances, he'll rightly be off in the summer. Hawkins has another year on his contract and might hang around as a squad player (unless someone wants him), and I would like to think we've made a decision on Jackson by now, so if we're not taking the extension then we might as well get rid.

I thought that might be the case but my myopia to be the FIRST of what will surely be a tidal wave of positivity starved posters calling for Simpson forced my hand to not check the threads first.

STRENGTH!

He needs an experienced head alongside him. Maybe someone like Jon Stead.

What a strange concept, leaving some attackers up when defending a corner and allowing a fast break

100% on the first touch for first goal too. That kinda confidence and positive play is chefs kiss compared the check back merchants currently wasting everyones time in the first team.

23s no comparison to first team football yes yes caveat caveat. But still

If we played against that Forest U23 keeper every week we would definitely have scored a goal in some games this season. Maybe even two once or twice.

Physical capability to play mens football, but there is huge gap between u23 and first team football.

So that’s what a goal looks like. He’s a big powerful lad isn’t he. Impressed with his determination too. It depends on the mood around the first team. If it’s poisonous, I’d keep him away and look at him in pre season. If it’s ok, put him on the bench and give him 20 or 30 mins just to feel what first team football is like.

ten seconds clip only, but that was everything the senior team (they have lost the right to be called the first team, that now belongs to the u18`s) are not

Nothing to lose, some of those lads deserve to be rewarded

I was told recently, and it subsequently turned out to be untrue, that Andoh had travelled up to Wigan as cover for KVY as had really impressed PC

I think the impressing PC thing is true, but he didn’t travel in the end

Even if it is based on 1 goal, it’s 1 goal more than 11/16 other drips haven’t managed to score in 10 HOURS OF PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL

With Town's last 3 games now near meaningless to both teams, giving some of the youngsters a go rather than playing players who won't be at PR next season seems blindingly obvious to me. Cook must have made up his mind about most of the first teamers.

It isn't just the strength and the fact that he has scored. It is the fact that he carries the ball forward and has in mind to shoot at goal. The first thought in every first team player's mind is to turn and see who they can pass backwards to.
