39 in October, so I'm not sure its quite as ambitious as the headline suggests.

Even if we have two successive promotions he'd be 41 by Christmas of our premier league season. In other words, he's never going to play for ITFC in the premier league. Although could be useful from the bench, and a good pro to have around the place.
Shouldn't break the bank for him in terms of wages, but he may just fancy the chance of prolonging his career relatively close to home. | |

I would think at 39 then League 1 will be his level.
I doubt he cares about the Prem anymore, thats long gone.
If he was interested, it would be for one last project close to home. He doesnt need the money, and hes not going to enhance his career. | |

I can't imagine a Championship side going for a striker who turns 39 in a few months who only managed 15 league appearances in the SPL last season. | |

He's not exactly played much this season, and the SPL isnt really any better than L1 for the most part.
At 39 it wouldnt be the biggest transfer coup in the world. | |

With him an Torres upfront we are going to have the best FM2010 strike force.
No idea what to make of this. Seems bizarre but if we wanted to come to be close to home and was willing to take not much money (he's loaded I am sure) then hard to object, would be able to pass on knowledge to other forwards.
He did score 21 in 37 the season before this one in the SPL but father time might have caught up with him. Seems Rangers still think he can do a job.

That has to be complete nonsense.
Norwood's had injury problems over the last two seasons. So we bring in a guy who is nearly 40 to play in a division where people are happy to kick you off the park?
