LOL. Would be class to be fair. He seems a proper professional who looks after himself.

Truly impaired.

To be fair, it would be a step up from the SPL and Rangers.

39 in October, so I'm not sure its quite as ambitious as the headline suggests.

If he can do a job, then fine, but if its a gimmick then no thanks.

He must be pushing 40 now. Not sure he's what we're after to lead the line for 46 games in League 1.

No way is this happening. He's finally won his 1st title and should win another next year why on earth is he going to come here?

I'd love that, even if just for one season. However, even if we can get the £ in place, what would attract him to us? Even if we have two successive promotions he'd be 41 by Christmas of our premier league season. In other words, he's never going to play for ITFC in the premier league. Surely he could get a Championship gig that would be more interesting to him than Town?

Agree.

Although could be useful from the bench, and a good pro to have around the place.

Shouldn't break the bank for him in terms of wages, but he may just fancy the chance of prolonging his career relatively close to home.

I would think at 39 then League 1 will be his level.

I doubt he cares about the Prem anymore, thats long gone.

If he was interested, it would be for one last project close to home. He doesnt need the money, and hes not going to enhance his career.

I can't imagine a Championship side going for a striker who turns 39 in a few months who only managed 15 league appearances in the SPL last season.

He's not exactly played much this season, and the SPL isnt really any better than L1 for the most part.

At 39 it wouldnt be the biggest transfer coup in the world.

In about 5 years time we'll be signing actual retired players.

With him an Torres upfront we are going to have the best FM2010 strike force.

No idea what to make of this. Seems bizarre but if we wanted to come to be close to home and was willing to take not much money (he's loaded I am sure) then hard to object, would be able to pass on knowledge to other forwards.

He did score 21 in 37 the season before this one in the SPL but father time might have caught up with him. Seems Rangers still think he can do a job.

I agree with that, I just can't see it happening. Nice warm bench, in a 2 horse race for title, practically semi retired anyway. What would be the pointin comming here for him?

If we are signing guys at 38 who are in the darkest twilight of their careers we are in trouble.

That has to be complete nonsense.

Norwood's had injury problems over the last two seasons. So we bring in a guy who is nearly 40 to play in a division where people are happy to kick you off the park?

Seriously.

Stephen Ward was 35 (34 when he joined) and he struggled.

I suspect being closer to home would appeal, and Rangers may actually have a challenge for the title next season.

Football Insider were the first to break the bradley rumours weren' t they?

Lots of League 1 sides have had late 30 year olds in their sides, some of the most recent club heros have been players very late in their careers.

Ibrahimovic is still playing, now we aren't going for him clearly, but age is just a number, the most important thing is how is his overal fitness and movement.

He’s about the sign the extension offer.

Like he’s gonna leave The Famous Glasgow Rangers for third division football anyway.

He doesn't play for the famous glasgow rangers. He players for Glasgow Rangers Newco with 10 years of history.

The SPL is also a weaker League than League 1, so its not inconceivable. Especially at 39!!

Genuine question what did ward struggle with?

Defending no, attacking no

but combining the two yes.

Fullback requirements don't really suit a mid 30 year old.
