Edwards would be good to have around as back up, as he can operate on both flanks and would provide and injection of pace off the bench. If we are serious about going up next season, i'd personally be looking at wingers who can contribute a little more higher up the pitch with a better end product. Not sure Gwion offers enough service for our strikers. |  | | |

I tend to agree about him having some talent. He’s shown glimpses, but no consistency and 2nd half of last season he was terrible. Like several of the other players we have, I’d be interested to see what they can do if they knuckled down under some proper coaching. |  |

He’s exactly what the Peterborough fans said when we signed him. Great in flashes but annoyingly inconsistent.
In fact, that probably describes 80% of wingers I’ve seen in all levels of the game. Spend long periods waiting for the right ball and when it does come, you have to be totally on it if you’re not going to waste the opportunity. |  |

Tho if we use tactics which get numbers into the box during open-play attacks, there will be more for him to aim at.
One of the regrettable habits of our team recently has been to allow the man with the ball to become isolated, surrounded by defenders and without any option to pass out of the situation. Wingers will be particularly susceptible to that. |  |

Edwards has had 3 seasons to show us what he can do & he has shown that in flashes, but is frustratingly inconsistent and a poor crosser of the ball. Quite happy to see him go; if we are serious about being promoted, we don't want a player like that starting regularly. |  |

I used to know Larry Lloyd quite well when living in Nottingham via my old man and Larry used to say “Robbo” was THE best player in that position he ever played with and was glad he didn’t have to play against him week in week out.

He started strong, and he ended strong. Im not ready to put him in the bin - but he must be playing on the left as an Inside Forward for my money.

On his day clearly one of the best in league 1 and potential to improve to a championship performer, if he can get consistent. He had a ok season in the championship in our disaster season.
If Cook can get the form out of him from season start over the whole campaign it’s a no brainier, he fits 4231 perfectly as can add defensive duties to going forward, last season was difficult to judge anyone as they all stank to some degree. |  |
