I'm thinking of buying a lighthouse to use as a part time residence.
It's no longer functions and is half a mile from the coast (I wont say where it is) for obvious reasons.

The thing is you still have to pay council tax BUT there is no Bin collections or local amenities and you have to provide transport to and from the mainland yourself.
The current incumbents pay approx £750 a year, do you think this is right?

I'm sure that if you talk nicely to the council they'll provide free transport to your Lighthouse.
They'll charge you £10,000 if you want to come back though.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
