but it's a bit of a shame Arsenal have already got their greedy mitts on him. That's too young isn't it?

Looks great, bit uncomfortable with him being put into the limelight. Hope adults around him don't put too much pressure on him and let him enjoy his football.

Personally, I find this sort of thing really sad to read. This lad has clearly got a lot of talent, allow it to blossom by letting him enjoy playing with his friends without any pressure from the involvement of professional clubs. At his age, he should be having fun playing, this is where I feel we go wrong in this country. There’s too much pressure and expectation on youngsters at such a young age, which impacts on them later and I appreciate this can also come from the child’s parents too, pushing too hard and too soon. That’s my view for what it’s worth, I’ll climb down from my soapbox now.

This is awful.

Let him enjoy playing at that age.

Agreed, it's almost like people have forgotten children develop at different stages.

And lets be honest, Arsenal have had the next superstar coming through for years haven't they, Fran Merida, JET, Lansbury, Armand Traore, Justin Hoyte, Mark Randall, Sanchez Watt, Emmanuel Frimpong, Ryo Miyaichi, Thomas Eisfeld, Chuba Akpom, Jeff Reine-Adeleide, Gedion Zelalem and another 100 odd names.

He's the same age as my eldest, and the little videos of him are absolutely incredible.

Mine can strike a ball nicely and things like that, but when you see with your own eyes the level they could/should be at and the level he is at it is absolutely unbelievable. That goal at the very end is something else - if my nephew who is 7 scored one like that I'd be mega impressed

I think as long as he is able to enjoy his football, and keep playing, away from the limelight then it's no big deal being signed up by a big club. They are not super competitive from a young age, and he'll get the best coaching etc.

Just hope he lives close enough to training grounds etc that his life isn't spent in a car - but hope in 15 years time to be seeing this video again as a reminder of what the latest big star looked like when he was 4!

Unfortunately I do not think that is true.

The very fact that the coach of a 4 year old has made a point of going out and getting him scouted by Arsenal speaks volumes.

Unfortunately, there are many in junior football who are actively competitive, in pursuit of their own egos, from a very early stage.

It's not like they've sent a 1st team scout down there - the 'youth scout' who has looked at him will be someone who manages a team in the league and gets a couple of complimentary tickets to a few games as a thank you for putting people Arsenal's way

If I was managing a team and there was a 4 year old as good as the 7 and 8 year olds I'd let someone know - not because of ego or anything, you just want others to see what you are seeing and want to help the boy

So according to the talent scout:

"This kid's doing something he shouldn't be doing. The way he 's striking the ball looks too sharp for that age".

Incredible talent at such an age.

I see why many of you worry, but as long as he enjoys it and isn't pressured by his folks, it seems harmless. The only worry on that front was his comment about playing with the bigger kids.

I think folks under estimate the way in which professional game overtakes enjoyment in kids.

He's 4 years old Joe, it doesn't matter that he's head and shoulders above most his age. There's no guarantee he's going to make it either as good as he is now. There's going to be plenty of obstacles and temptations he's going to need to overcome as he grows up, he's just playing on raw ability and he's clearly got plenty of that. So, allow him to flourish, play in a team with his mates, score a few goals in weekend games and enjoy it. The scouts can monitor him as he begins to get older and word would be getting around. He might get to 6 and decide to play or do something else and that's why I find this so bizarre. It'll be the pressure that is put on him by other stakeholders that I would be worrying about, just unhealthy and not needed.

A mate of mine many years ago was on the books at Chelsea, his life of school, eat, travel to Chelsea, homework, sleep was too much for him and he gave up the football. It is this part that many forget, kids do need a life, I do not know what age he would have been and he sadly passed away at mid 50's.

Who is to say he won't enjoy what he is doing, he's 4 and will still be playing locally as much as he can do no doubt as they don't even have a team until U9s.

If anyone is putting pressure on it'll be his parents - none of this would be done without their say so
