Apologies TWTD 19:37 - Dec 8 with 1640 viewsunstableblue

Apologies TWTD fellow posters.

Posted last night after some sherbets and having witnessed a truly horrible evening and display from Town. Very poor form.

Calling fellow board members idiots for demanding the early removal of Cook was infantile. And is akin to those who patrol the board shooting down opinions that oppose their own. And also as the case for Cook to be removed after recent flat cup games, and a poor league position, was compelling.

Perhaps there was a chance Cook could have got a result and turned the season, we will never know. I cannot conceive that we could play any worse than we did.

Last night was one of the worst Ipswich experiences I’ve had in a long period of Town support. As stated I went with a large group including some neutrals (or am I making that up as some suggest?! Double standards indeed), turning to those mates and them giving that non blue goggled view of just how atrocious we were, we are. Really got into me.

The atmosphere at the end was poisonous, that Toto video grim.

McGreal only had an hour on the grass with the boys, but I expected him and Kieron to build on the players shame at their recent performance levels that contributed to the guy who brought them to the club being fired. But they were flat, scared, hopeless. And do you know what? Charlton were not that good. And I think could have been gotten into. Players like Morsy, Evans, Bonne, Donacien were just completely lost.

If the players weren’t going to react last night, to get a bump, can they turn this around?! Can McGreal change the mind set. Wigan looks daunting and PackoutPR grim.

Anyway time for a breather from TWTD and Town. Happy Christmas. Here’s to improved Blue fortunes in 2022.

Could see you were pissed when your argument consisted of giving a failing manager just one more game to 'turn our season' for whatever batsh1t reason.

In light of your apology, I also apologise for suggesting that you were acting like a prick.

As an aside, this isn't the first time someone has regretted a drunken rant on here, should Gav's next upgrade include an aptitude test you have to pass before being allowed to post? Maybe a test of mouse/phone co-ordination skills?

I'm slightly relieved I was too w4nkered to post much last night, it was a truly grim game and experience from the football side of things, I wouldn't worry about it, beverages and dire football brings out the worst in many of us on here.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

No need to apologise. I think most people following the club are as gutted as you are about the mess that’s unfolded.

W'eve all been there. Don't blame you at all for venting.

I'm sorry for everyone on here. We don't deserve it. Imagine how much worse comments would be if this was Milwall or Sunderland.
I hang on to Keno's opinion - that this is the final bi tof "worse" before it gets better. But it will be slow - not quick.
Good of you to post this in the clear light of dawn.

Why is it double standards to point out how you mysteriously are always accompanied by non Ipswich fans to these important games?

it was a painful watch.
hope you had a decent night out with your mates, that is until the football started.
it's hard not to want to lash out at the moment after all the hype surrounding this set off players.

Good on you for apologizing.

Our club seems to find new ways of disappointing us on the back of such optimism and it also alarming how fractious the fans are becoming towards each other.

We need to remember we are all want the same thing, a successful Ipswich Town and to respect other peoples views even if we don't agree with them.
